Joyetech are big dogs in the vape industry producing fan favourites like the EGO One and EVic VT. Today we are taking look at the newest flagship unit offered by Joyetech, the all new Joyetech EVic VTwo. This unit improves upon its predecessor offering increased wattage and a leak proof Cubis Pro tank. Review: Joytech VTWo Starter Kit Review
Joyetech has kept the tradition of excellent manufacturing quality alive with the EVic VTwo. They have changed the devices original glossy finish to a matte finish which actually helps with the feel and aesthetics of the device. It won’t show all those nasty finger prints like the original glossy EVic did. The LED display on this unit is large, bright and easy to read in most lighting situations. The large display also makes navigating the settings of the mod easier.
The EVic Two now comes with a Joyetech Cubis Pro tank, which features a top filling system and is advertised as leak proof. We do like this tank better than the previous EGO One mega that came with the original EVic, which suffered from some serious leaking issues. It was also a bottom fill tank which required you to remove the tank from the unit to fill it.
With the new tank style you simply remove the top part of the tank to fill your liquid on the fly. We did have some minor spitting issues with this tank, which is never a pleasant experience, however as the coil was broken in the tank seemed to stop spitting hot fire at our tongues. So just be sure to properly prime your coils and let the unit sit for a bit before use.
Flavor from the EVic VTwo with the Cubis pro tank is really nice allowing you to truly taste all the subtle flavor notes in your e-liquid. This unit provides you with 3 different styles of atomizers to experiment with to customize your vapor quality to how you enjoy it.
This unit can also reach an impressive 80W which means it will satisfy newcomers and cloud chasers alike. With the power pumped up vapor production from this product is insane and really where the strength of this unit lies.
As we previously touched upon this unit provides users with a whopping 80 watts of power which will delight cloud chasers. With such a high wattage this unit really can blow huge clouds.
The unit also offers a temperature control mode which is a nifty addition which allows you to set the unit to a specific temperature and the mod will automatically adjust the wattage to keep your unit at the set temperature. This help avoid burning your coil and the dreaded dry hit if liquid is too low. It has definitely saved our coils on more than one occasion
Just like the original EVic VT, the EVic VTwo is pretty easy to use. They have kept the same button design as the previous model. Just 5 clicks to turn the device on and your wattage is set by flicking the dial at the top of the unit to the left or right. To access the menu on the EVic VTwo press the power button 3 times and use the dial to select the corresponding setting you wish to change.
Our real criticism is how the menu layout. It is not the most intuitive and will have most users returning to the manual to refresh their memories on how to change a certain setting. However once you get over the learning curve the device is fairly straightforward.
This unit has a massive 5000mah battery built into the mod. This is great for heavier users who will be using it frequently while out and about. However the 5000mah also adds some girth and weight to the device.
So while from a battery life standpoint this device is very portable, the battery itself actually adds bulk to the unit which detracts from the overall portability. You will definitely notice this device in your pocket and may wish to keep it in a bag instead if you will be carrying it around with you all day.
Overall the EVic VTwo is a decent update over the original EVic. We are glad that they addressed the leaking issue with the tank as it provides a far more convenient experience. We absolute love the battery life on this unit, most users won’t have to charge this device for days. The device is a bit bulky because of the large battery so take that into consideration. We did experience some spitting issues but they seemed to subside as the coils were broken in.
With 80 Watts of power this device is geared more to the intermediate to advanced user who wants to start chasing big clouds. If you are a newbie and want something to get your feet wet we recommend starting with a unit like the EGO One. It is much more user friends and the vapor is not as intense.
