We here at Toronto V know that purchasing a vaporizer is a pretty big deal. It takes time and careful consideration to ensure that you find the right unit for you. To help you make better decisions, we put two vaporizers in the same category head to head to see what the units are really like and how they compare with each other in a showdown. Today’s showdown pits the V Tower
against the AroMed
. The competition between these two units puts Canadian tenacity up against German precision engineering. Let’s see who wins out.
V Tower vs AroMed
is a stationary unit that produces great vapor. It is a whip style unit that gives you great vapor with a nice flavor that’s very consistent. That’s because of the glass components and ceramic heating chamber that are used to heat up your botanical.
generates outstanding vapor. This is because of the unique halogen light heating system and water filtration system. It is hard to find smoother vapor on the market due to this unique combo of light based heat and water filtration and it definitely puts the AroMed ahead of the V Tower.
The V Tower is made quite well. It has stainless steel casing and a digital display for accurate temperature control. This unit is quite robust and strong. The ceramic heating element and vertical glass heating chamber give you optimal convection heating.
The AroMed is designed with quality and efficiency in mind. The light bulb works consistently and the unique control method for heat works very well. It has its interface designed in a very simple manner, with only three buttons and a digital display. One thing that you have to keep in mind is that the the unit consists of a lot of external Magic Glass
components. This helps produce outstanding vapor but also means that you have to be very careful about handling the unit when setting up or cleaning the filtration system. Despite this one flaw, the overall manufacturing quality is quite befitting of its efficient German heritage.
Ease of Use
The V Tower gives you great ease of use. You control the unit very easily and have precise control over your temperature due to the digital display. The glass parts fit into each other quickly and easily. The cyclone bowl can also be filled very easily. All in all, it’s an easy process for just about any connoisseur to understand and master!
The AroMed requires minimal set up before you begin vaporizing. You attach your filtration system and set your temperature on the digital display. While the interface is simple and easy to use, the AroMed loses points due to the fragility of the glass components and the risk of breakage from mishandling.
The V Tower has a temperature range from 50 to 260 degrees Celsius. This is the highest range available for most modern stationary units on the market today. The digital display and easy to use controls allow you to easily set your temperature in this wide range.
The AroMed has a maximum temperature of 235 degrees Celsius. While the range isn’t as wide as the V Tower, it still manages to keep the temperature very consistent when vaporizing. It’s a nice touch.
Both of these units are whip style vaporizers. The V Tower does include a potpourri dish for aroma therapy but this isn’t a huge priority for many connoisseurs. The AroMed doesn’t have many accessories available for it but it does come with a carrying case. In this regard, both are quite evenly matched.
It has been quite a showdown today that looks like a tie but there is one thing that breaks the tie. The AroMed may be a bit fragile with all of the glass and may not have the same temperature flexibility as the V Tower, but it’s got such awesome vapor quality and high manufacturing quality that it makes it our winner today. The V Tower is still a great unit, but the AroMed can make every session a spectacular event. Congrats, AroMed!
