Fill the Vape with 5X refined butane and turn it from 0 to 1. You will be able to hear a "hissing" sound. Press the igniter and the Iolite will heat up the chamber to the optimal vaporization temperature. You will be able to see an orange light, on the front side of the portable vaporizer that will turn off after 40 seconds after reaching the optimal temperature (190 degrees Celsius). In order to turn the unit off, simply turn the unit back from 1 to 0. It will continue through 2-3 more heat cycles and then automatically turn-off and start cooling down. It is highly recommended to run the Iolite with purified butane for the following reasons:
- Purified butane does not smell after it is converted into heat.
- Purified butane does not clog up the catalytic convertor from the inside.
- Purified butane burns at a higher temperature which the system is calibrated to.
Heating Time
The Iolite’s catalytic heating convertor is positioned in an isolated chamber around the stainless steel chamber. The optimal vaporization temperature is reached in 45 seconds, while the purified butane is released as risk-free water vapour through the ventilation system.
Efficiency & Effectiveness
The thermostatically regulated system maintains a steady temperature of 374 degrees Fahrenheit/ 190 degrees Celsius, which is the most optimal vaporization temperature. Each draw from the vaporizer produces a dense layer of Vapour; the slower the draw, the denser the vapour. It is also advisable to acquire an Optimizer for the Iolite in order to obtain even higher vaporization efficiency. The Optimizer is for improved heat distribution inside the stainless steel chamber.
