Arizer Extreme Q vs Plenty Vaporizer: Vape Showdown

2

In today’s blog we will shift our attention to two of the most popular stationary vaporizers. The Arizer Extreme Q vs the Plenty Vaporizer made by Storz & Bickel. Showdown between Canada and Germany! Over the last few weeks I have been getting many inquiries about these two units, especially in terms of comparing the two. This is exactly what we will do in today’s blog to give you guys an idea of which unit might be best for you.
Extreme Q vs Plenty Vaporizer

The Type of Vaporization

Let’s starts with the basics. The Extreme Q is a combination of a whip and balloon style vapourizer meaning that you can vaporize using both methods. The Plenty on the other hand is a direct inhalation device. The fact that you can vaporize using both methods, make the EQ very attractive for some people since it gives you the best of both worlds.

Design and Operations

Arizer
While the EQ is a regular stationary unit, the Plenty is actually categorized as a handheld device. Both of these units, however, need to be plugged in during operation. This does make the Plenty a little more user friendly in the sense that you can hold the unit in your hands without the need for a table to place your unit on. However, the EQ has a remote control which allows you to operate the unit from anywhere close to the unit. At first we laughed at the remote but to be honest it’s simply AWESOME.
In terms of design the EQ does look a little nicer, the stainless steel finish and the blue LED light do look pretty chilly at night. So if you are watching a movie or playing a game and the room is dark (which happens quite often in my mancave) the LED lights become pretty useful when attempting to reload the unit without having to go through the inconvenient task of turning on the lights. Both units are manufactured very well though and we don’t have any issues with the design of both units. When it comes to reliability, the Plenty ROCKS, since it is all made with manual components (no semi-conductors) in the land of the reliable, namely Germany.

In contrast the Arizer Extreme Q is just made for smooth operation. That means, nobody but a true Canadian Connoisseur would know how handy a remote control is on a vape (I am referring to the engineers behind the EQ).

Extreme Q  Advantage

Extreme Q

In terms of setting your temperature both units are very simple to operate. The EQ does have an edge because it has a digital display which allows you to be more exact when setting your temperature. Furthermore, we were a little disappointed with the fact that the Plenty’s max temperature is only 202 degrees. Therefore we pretty much had the unit on max the whole time during our test. In this category the edge therefore goes to the EQ, with a clear “unbefriedigend” (not good enough in German J) to the folks at Storz & Bickel.

Plenty Vaporizer Advantage

Plenty Vaporizer

Vapor quality is the area the Plenty really excels in. The vapor was deliciously smooth and very cool. This can be attributed to the coil drawing system which cools the vapor very efficiently. Ok …….ok an “ausgezeichnet” (very good in GermanJ) to the folks at Storz & Bickel in this category!  Although we had the unit on its max setting most of the time, the vapor at this setting was just awesome. The EQ also produced some great vapor but it was the unit made by Storz & Bickel that had the edge in this category. The Plenty also has the superior heating chamber in our opinion. They kept true to the Valcano tradition of wide and shallow heating trays in order to maximize the heated surface area of your botanical. This is KEY in generating outstanding vapor quality.

The Conclusion

All in all you will be very happy with both units. Both devices are excellent vaporizers. To people who vaporize in group settings and like to have the option of using balloons the EQ might be a smarter choice. There are just so many more options with the Arizer Extreme Q Vaporizer. Furthermore, the units are made in Canada and the warranty center is located in Ontario, Canada. One should also not forget that the EQ is over 100 bucks cheaper. On the other hand, if you are looking for superior vapor quality and are a fan of Storz &Bickel’s great quality Volcano Vaporizer and German engineering, the Plenty will make you very happy. It definitely lives up to the companies great quality standards.
