Aspire Feedlink Revvo kit Review – Feed me Seymour

Updated: September 26, 2022

It’s squonk season all year round with all the new squonking devices that have slowly been trickling into the market lately. Aspire’s own entry in this category comes in the form of the Aspire Feedlink Revvo kit. It’s an unregulated mod that comes with some protections so it’s still much safer to use compared to a mechanical device.

The kit comes bundled with Aspire’s Revvo Boost tank, a slightly tweaked version of the original Revvo, but this time offers support for squonking. Let’s check out the details of this little kit in the review down below and see if it worths your vaping dollars. Be sure to check the vape buyer’s guides for important information to take into consideration before making your purchase.

Review: Aspire Feedlink Revvo kit

Aspire Feedlink Revvo Review

Manufacturing Quality

The first thing you’ll probably notice about the Aspire Feedlink Revvo is the variety of front and back panels that the kit comes in. Available in either a textured moulded plastic or colorful resin, the panels are easily swappable with the help of a simple Allen key, giving you lots of potential colourways to play with.

While the individual panels aren’t being sold by Aspire at time of writing, it’s a strong possibility that they will be soon, so if you’re into customizing your mod to get that colorway you want, this kit is a strong option.

Overall, the mod feels very sturdy without any wiggling or rattling noises. Ergonomics are on point as well, with the device offering a very comfortable hand feel. The fire button placement close to the top is very accessible and easily within reach.

At the bottom of the device, you’ll find the battery cap which threads off, and I just have to say that the threads on the cap aren’t the smoothest, giving you a little bit of crunch when twisting the cap on or off.

The kit also comes with a soft silicone bottle. It’s a bit on the soft side which should work well for most squonk fans out there. One thing though is that Aspire has gone with a proprietary design on the bottle, so you won’t be able to use aftermarket options.

The Revvo Boost tank that comes with the kit is constructed out of sturdy stainless steel with some glass comprising the glass chamber. Machining on the tank feels very quality without any rough burrs or edges that might get in the way of you taking the tank apart of putting it back together. It comes with the bottom-feeding pin pre-installed so there’s no need to fiddle around with that after opening the box.

Flavor Quality

In terms of flavor production, not much has changed when it comes to the vaping experience with the Revvo Boost tank. The supplied ARC coils do a sufficient job of translating your favorite e-liquid into thick vapor.

While the decreased coil mass means that you won’t get as intense of a vape as you would from fancier exotic coils such as Claptons, the vapor production is still great thanks to the large surface area in contact with the organic cotton wick.

Airflow on the Revvo Boost tank is plenty smooth although it does produce a bit of turbulence when dialing down the airflow to a lower setting. One thing that sets the Revvo Boost apart from other squonking kits is the kit uses a squonking sub-ohm tank instead of an RDA.

What this means for you is that the e-liquid from your squonking bottle doesn’t feed directly into the coils but to the tank instead. A big advantage of this is that the maximum e-liquid capacity is at 9ml with the contents of the bottle and tank combined, requiring a lot less refills.

Aspire Feedlink Revvo power controlPower Flexibility

The Aspire Feedlink Revvo is an unregulated device meaning you won’t have any direct control over the power output of the mod unless you opt to build your own custom coils. That doesn’t mean that mod necessarily functions like a mechanical device as there are some protections hardwired into the device which sets a hard limit of 80 watts that the mod can deliver.

The ARC coil seems to built around this as its low resistance allows the device to fire up to its maximum 80 watts of power.

Obviously, if you’re looking for a mod that offers variable wattage or temperature control, the Aspire Feedlink Revvo kit doesn’t offer any of that. What it does offer though is a consistent and powerful vaping experience in an easy to setup and even easier to use package.

Aspire Feedlink Revvo tankEase of Use

Thanks to the high-quality documentation and manual that comes with the kit, the Aspire Feedlink Revvo is pretty straightforward to set up out of the box. The battery compartment uses clearly marked polarity indicators to ensure that your batteries are always installed the right way.

Filling and installing the included squonk bottle is relatively straightforward and while it’s not as simple as filling a tank, the leak-proof experience you get out of the Aspire Feedlink Revvo is definitely worth the tradeoff.

The mod turns on and off with a simple five clicks allowing for easy and safe storage. The installed mosfet also works well as it properly limits the maximum power draw of the mod from your battery making it a lot safer to use than traditional mechanical mods.

Portability

For the vapers who are always on the go, you’ll be glad to hear that the Aspire Feedlink Revvo is plenty compact. With dimensions measuring out to a height of 124mm (tank included), a width of 48mm, and thickness of 30mm, its a kit that can easily fit into practically any pocket, easily trumping many squonk kits out there in terms of portability.

One minor caveat though is the battery life. It would’ve been nice to see the kit support 20700 batteries as the overall profile of the mod seems to support it.

If Aspire had spent just a little more time in making some adjustments to the overall dimension of the mod, this kit could’ve easily fit a much more capable 20700 battery inside. 20700 cells carry almost double the battery life of the 18650 batteries the mod currently supports.

Overall Experience

The Aspire Feedlink Revvo is an impressive entry by Aspire into the world of squonking, especially when considering that the company doesn’t have much experience in manufacturing squonk kits.

The ergonomic shape combined with the reliable performance and overall ease of use make it a winner for any vaper out there looking to get into squonking.

If you are looking for the most portable and straightforward unit we would probably chalk that up to the Kandypens Rubi.

If you are looking for a mod-style vape to start with we suggest checking out the Smok X-Priv.
