Atmos L’Or Wax Pen Review – Because You’re Worth It

0

Something about the Atmos L’Or wax pen makes you think of fashion and makeup. Probably the similarity to L’Oreal and the flashy gold design. This and the fact that the L’Or is the result of a collaboration with the rapper Tyga are the main reasons people consider getting this vape. But we wanted to find out how it actually performs, so we’re reviewing it for you today. As it turns out, the L’Or appears to be an Atmos Magna in a snazzy new package… also if this is your first wax pen be sure to check out our Buyers Guide for helpful info and tips.

Review: Atmos L’Or

How it Works

The L’Or wax pen is designed for concentrates only and is very straightforward to use. There is a single button that is used to turn the unit on, engage the heat, and cycle the temperature settings.

You get two atomizers with the kit, and both are held in place with magnets, making it very easy to take them on and off. This may not seem like a big deal, but it is very convenient and one of the best features of the vape.

All in all, the L’Or is very standard as far as wax pen functionality goes.

Temperature Flexibility

We found the temperature flexibility to be disappointing. While you do get to choose between different heat levels, Atmos never tells you what the specific temperature levels are.

You just have to operate knowing that green is low, blue is medium, and red is high. We looked through the user manuals for both the L’Or and the Magna, but there were no details in either.

This isn’t necessarily a deal-breaker, but it would be nice to have a rough idea of the temperature you are using. Even a range would be better than nothing.

Vapor Quality

The L’Or delivers average vapor. It’s not bad, and it certainly gets the job done, but there isn’t anything special to say either.

While you get two atomizers, they are very similar. One is a single quartz rod with a titanium coil, and the other is the same design but with two rods instead of one.

You don’t see single rods all that often anymore, especially when two is an option. Generally speaking, choosing the atomizer with two rods will allow you to get more vapor without sacrificing flavor.

Manufacturing Quality

The build quality is also average. Again, we’re not trying to say that there is anything wrong with the vaporizer, just that there isn’t anything all that remarkable about the materials or the design.

The one thing that does stand out is the magnetic connections, but though those can be found elsewhere as well such as the Dr Dabber AuroraThe other thing that is an obvious selling point (depending on who you ask) is how flashy this vape is.

This wasn’t made to keep hidden. This is for people who want other people to notice. It’s actually designed like an accessory, which may be a good reason to buy it depending on what your interests are.

Battery Life

The battery life for the L’Or isn’t good. There’s no dancing around that fact. At just 650mAh, you should only expect a few sessions before needing to charge it again.

To give you perspective, there are wax pens out there with 2000mAh or more. Recharging the battery seems to take about 2 hours.

Portability

Portability is good as far as size and durability go, it’s small enough to fit into a purse or pocket, and with a little bit of care, it shouldn’t break. The battery life is a problem though.

It’s hard to call something portable when you have to stop and recharge it frequently.

Ease of Use

This is a very easy vaporizer to use. To reiterate what was said above, there is only one button that controls all the functionality.

On top of that, the magnetic connections make it very easy to take atomizers on and off.

Beginners would be able to use this with no problems at all.

Discreetness

Again, the L’Or wasn’t designed to be kept hidden. The exterior is a flashy gold. It is meant to draw attention and make a statement.

You could easily cover the exterior with your hand if you needed too, but there are other units out there that would probably be better if this is a concern of yours.

Overall Experience

The L’Or is exactly what it seems to be: an Atmos Magna in a flashy, eye-catching package. If you are looking for a dependable vaporizer that will get the job done while also serving as a fashion accessory, then this may be a good pick.

But you should also know that there are other options out there, especially if you are looking to get the best vapor possible for your investment.

If you like the fashion side of the Atmos, you should check out the KandyPens line of vaporizers, although these will cost you more money.

If you are looking for something that is comparably priced but that will deliver better vapor, consider the ZEUS Thunder 2.

Compatible with ZEUS Iceborn
This vaporizer is compatible with the ZEUS Iceborn, a revolutionary new vapor cooling system engineered by Canadian vape manufacturer ZEUSArsenal. The Iceborn is designed to produce cooler draws and bigger clouds when connected to your vaporizer. The vapour produced is ultra smooth and crisp and because of ice cooling, instead of water filtration, there is no loss of efficiency. The ZEUS Iceborn adds an additional 2 points to the vapor quality score of this vaporizer and is a highly recommended vaporizer accessory.
