Da Buddha Vaporizer Review

Updated: October 6, 2023
Now that the summer has come to an end and we are prepping for another great Canadian Winter, many fellow connoisseurs have called in and asked about stationary vaporizers. The good news is that we have extensively tested Da Buddha Vaporizer and can announce that it has qualified to become part of the TorontoVaporizer Vape family.

Da Buddha Vaporizer Performance Review

Da Buddha VaporizerDa Buddha Vaporizer is made by the same company that makes the Silver Surfer, in Colorado. They have produced some fine Whip Style Vaporizers and have become famous for the reliability and cool design of their units. We extensively tested this unit and in today’s blog will tell you how this unit stacks up.

Manufacturing Quality

Let’s now talk about the unit’s strong points. One of them is definitely manufacturing quality. First of all, this unit simply looks beautiful. The guys at Silver Surfer put a lot of effort into making sure this unit looks trendy. Most importantly though, the components seem very sturdy and the materials used are of high quality. What blew us away though is the carrying case this unit comes with. It’s a beautiful hemp bag that is nicely cushioned and has lots of pockets and would actually be a nice looking bag on its own. If all vaporizers came with bags like this, our connoisseur-lives would even be better. You will have no problems carrying this unit around to a friend’s place or a cottage. Also, the glass parts are all easily replaceable and even if you break it, there is not much work or cost that you have to endure to get your Vape back on track. For a much more sturdy and smart build, check out the Mighty Vaporizer.

Temperature Settings

Let’s start with the Buddha’s weak points. First of all this unit has no temperature display and temperature can only be set by turning a dial at the front of the unit. Now what’s interesting is that the dial has no numbers or temperature levels so you do have to play a bit of a guessing game to set your temperature. We found temperature to be at its best at around 12 to 3 o’clock setting. The highest temperature settings seem to be too high, so you might want to turn up the dial carefully. The fact that the unit has no display and no numbers indicating the temperature so we couldn’t give the unit a better score than 6.5 out of 10 in terms of temperature flexibility. The Focus V Pro Vaporizer, however, is a good alternative that offers a digital display and temperature flexibility.

Options

Next, we looked at the unit’s options or the lack of options. The only way to use this unit is with the whip or hose. There is only one add-on for Da Buddha Vaporizer that allows one to diffuse essential oils directly into the room (or use as an ashtray, TRUST it comes in handy for that), therefore this unit ranked on the low end in terms of options unlike the Utillian 722, which allows both cannabis and concentrates.

Speed

Da Buddha Vaporizer ReviewNext, we looked at the unit’s speed and again it didn’t disappoint. The warm-up time to reach medium temperature is very short at around 40-50 seconds which is similar to the Utillian 620. This makes the unit very convenient to use as it is also very easy to set-up. Botanicals are loaded into the glass wand at the bottom of the whip and then inserted into the unit. Just put in as much to fill 15% to 30% of the chamber (don’t fill it up as you will sacrifice efficiency). In short operating this unit is very easy and fast hence the unit received a great score of 8/10 in this category.

Vapor Quality

Now let’s look at vapor quality. The unit produced good quality vapor. On the lower end, the vapor was barely visible and vapor extraction could have been a little more efficient. The unit works best at around medium heat where it can produce some nice thick and dense vapor. The consistency of the vapor was very nice but I do need to mention that the flavor did not blow me away, unlike the one in Arizer Air 2 with its convection heating which provides for higher vapor quality. In the higher temperature ranges, the vapor tasted a bit harsh but that’s because we think that the Buddha reaches some very high temperatures that are on the high end of optimal vaporization temperatures. One thing you definitely need to do is to hover around the 12 – 3 o’clock temperatures to have good efficiency and flavor.
Now if you’re looking to get the best vaporization experience possible with the Da Buddha Vaporizer, we’d like to recommend pairing your unit with the new vapor cooling device from ZEUS Arsenal, the ZEUS Iceborn. This revolutionary device actually increases the vapor quality of your Da Buddha Vaporizer by 2 points, dramatically cooling it down for smooth frosty draws. It’s also much more efficient than other filtration devices that use water, so you can get even bigger vapor clouds! Take a look!

Overall Experience

Compatible with ZEUS Iceborn
This vaporizer is compatible with the ZEUS Iceborn, a revolutionary new vapor cooling system engineered by Canadian vape manufacturer ZEUSArsenal. The Iceborn is designed to produce cooler draws and bigger clouds when connected to your vaporizer. The vapour produced is ultra smooth and crisp and because of ice cooling, instead of water filtration, there is no loss of efficiency. The ZEUS Iceborn adds an additional 2 points to the vapor quality score of this vaporizer and is a highly recommended vaporizer accessory.

Overall, I really enjoyed using this vaporizer. It simply looks great out of the box and its set-up is extremely easy and fast. I also have to mention the stunning carrying case that comes with the unit. Manufacturing quality is also on the high end and definitely makes up for the unit’s short-fall in temperature flexibility and options.
Da Buddha Vaporizer LogoThis unit is suitable for individuals that want quick setup time, little maintenance, option to take the stationary vaporizer from one place to another, cool design and robust manufacturing.
Da Buddha Vaporizer was able to reach a solid score of 7.3/10 in terms of the overall experience.
