Manufacturing Quality

While the Aspire SkyStar Revvo uses a familiar shape seen from their Speeder mods, the presentation is a bit different. Aspire has toned down the design, giving the mod an even sleeker and more minimalist look, perfect for the vapers who are usually repelled by loud and obnoxious designs.

The colorway selection while not that numerous, is still excellently varied. Slate blue, black carbon fiber, white, woodgrain, and blue camo are all excellent options and should cater to a variety of tastes. The finishing is durable and should withstand the test of time while offering an exceptional feeling to those with more discriminating tastes.

One of the biggest upgrades the Aspire SkyStar Revvo has over the other mods in the Revvo lineup is the inclusion of a much large 1.3 OLED touchscreen. Contrast is clear and well-balanced with any text being displayed on the screen appearing wonderfully crisp.

Outdoor legibility shouldn’t be an issue as well as the screen still performs well under direct sunlight. The screen is also recessed against the body of the mod, so that should help prevent it from getting scratched when carrying the mod around in your pocket.

There are multiple battery venting holes located at the bottom, and the battery trapdoor mechanism is pretty sturdy as well, not yielding any annoying wiggle or rattle which is typical of many lower quality devices. Polarity indicators for proper installation of the dual 18650 batteries are clearly labeled, making quick removal or insertion of the batteries hassle-free.

The spring loaded 510 connector up top facilitates an excellent connection with the included Revvo tank and it should perform similarly with any atomizer of your choice. Users who are interested in 510 thread cartridges for oil often prefer the Tronian Nutron.

Flavour Quality

The Revvo tank does a good job of holding all your precious e-liquid in with its leak-free design, also sparing you the mess of dealing with a leaky tank. The dual adjustable airflow ring does a good job of giving you more variety on how loose or tight you want your pulls to be, although the airflow tends to be a bit whistly or turbulent when rotated to a more restricted setting.

When it comes to activating the mod, the fire button feels high-quality and sturdy, giving off a nice and tactile click whenever pressed. Firing delay is very minimal and misfires are basically non-existent with the Aspire SkyStar Revvo giving you very reliable and consistent vaping experience.

In terms of flavour, the ARC coils in the Revvo tank do a good enough job, especially when compared to the majority of pre-built coils in the market. The higher surface area that these coils have helps produce a more consistent and even vape. The downside is that these have a much lower mass than the more complex coils, so the vape you’ll get out of these won’t feel as saturated or “wet”.

It’s certainly a slightly different vaping experience, but only preference will dictate which is better between the two. Flavour and vapor production are still very much there so no worries about that. All in all, the ARC coils are durable, reliable, and perform amiably when stacked up against the competition, definitely making it worth a look or try.  People who use 510 cartridges tend to prefer the Tronian Tautron.

The Aspire SkyStar Revvo’s maximum wattage of 210 watts is nothing to scoff at. The dual 18650 batteries that the mod utilizes are put to good use, as power output feels very consistent without any annoying pulsing or fluctuation save for when vaping at the maximum wattage.

Adjustable preheat curves are also available for tweaking which can be useful for when vaping with bigger coils that take longer to heat up.

Temperature control is also available with the Aspire SkyStar Revvo with support for stainless steel, nickel, and titanium coils. Customizable TCR curves are easily configured as well thanks to the easy to navigate touch menu, allowing power vapers to make changes more easily on the fly.

Aside from the onboard functions, the Aspire SkyStar Revvo also gives you 100% compatibility with virtually any atomizer with a 510 connection, thanks to its thickness which spans 33mm, pretty much any RDA or tank can fit on top without any unsightly overhang.

The Aspire SkyStar Revvo makes a slight deviation from previous devices due to its firing button located at the front of the mod right on top of the screen. It just might ergonomic preference, but I very much prefer the previous setup where a firing bar is used, located to the side of the mod, as I don’t have to wrap my fingers around the mod fully. Vapers with bigger hands, however, should have no issue with this.

When it comes to regular everyday use, the Aspire SkyStar Revvo is easy as it gets. The on-screen touch menu makes it exceptionally simple to make any desired changes when on the go, and the interface is highly intuitive, making it more accessible for beginners and the less tech-savvy vapers out there.

Portability

The Aspire SkyStar Revvo stands at a height of 136mm (tank included) making it pretty tall, but definitely not the dual battery device in the market by any means. The width of the device spans 50mm which is rather wide, so larger hands will have a much better time handling this device.

The mod sports a symmetrical shape which makes it easy to grip under virtually any scenario but it felt a bit too fatiguing for someone like me who has smaller hands.

Battery life on the Aspire SkyStar Revvo, like any other dual 18650 device is excellent, lasting about a full day to a maximum of three days of use, depending on how you vape. While the device has a micro USB port that lets you charge the mod anywhere you go, its always much more recommended to use a dedicated charger when handling multi-battery mods.

Overall Experience

The simple and minimalist look of the Aspire SkyStar Revvo goes very well with its premium finish, making it the ideal mod for vapers with more conservative tastes.

Pair all of that with its strong and reliable vaping performance, along with the dual battery design that guarantees an all day vape, and you can hardly go wrong if you ever decide on picking one up.

If you are looking for the most portable and straightforward unit we would probably chalk that up to the Kandypens Rubi.

If you are looking for a mod-style vape to start with we suggest checking out the Vaporesso Swag.
