Aspire Breeze NXT Vape Review – The NXT Big Pod Vape?

Updated: December 21, 2022

Aspire’s main selling point on the new Aspire Breeze NXT is its external adjustable airflow control system, which is a rare feature on vape pods and is sure to arouse the interest of vapers out there who are not satisfied with the fixed-airflow builds of most vape pods out there. How many times have you wished that you can adjust your vape pod’s airflow tightness on the fly?

They have also incorporated a new pull out and push-fit coil changing system that allows the users to swap out coils easier than the previous generation’s screw-in coil system which is a godsend. Continuing with the quality of life improvements in the Aspire Breeze NXT, it now also has a side-filling feature for e-liquids that allow you to fill the pod up even with the pod attached to the device’s body.

Convenient, right? Another new and useful feature of the Aspire Breeze NXT is the ability to fire via automatic draw or by using the fire button, great for those vapers used to the automatic draw features of vape pods like the Uwell Caliburn.

The rest of the features are up to par with the previous generations with the Aspire Breeze NXT’s 1000mAh battery capacity, 5.4ml e-liquid capacity pod, and standard safety features like automatic cutoff, short circuit protection, low voltage protection, overcharge protection, and overheat protection. Looks promising, right? Continue reading below to see a more detailed review of this device.

Manufacturing Quality – Is the Aspire Breeze NXT still well made

The new Aspire Breeze NXT closely follows the design language of its previous generation, but it now has an indentation in the middle that allows for greater ergonomics.

It really does make a difference when you are holding this device compared to the previous Aspire Breeze. The device feels solid overall, the aluminum construction is impeccable and feels nice to the touch.

Speaking of build quality, the airflow control wheel at the side feels awesome! It has smooth scrolling and it feels nice to play with it from time to time, you can even use the airflow control wheel as a sort of stress reliever by just turning it with your fingers over and over again. At the side of this device is the micro-USB charging port (careful not to drip your e-liquid on it) and at the bottom of this device is where the venting ports are located.

The pod and body fit together nicely, and we haven’t encountered any e-liquid leaking issues during our testing phase. Removing the pod from the body is a smooth affair but you can rest assured that it locks in firmly when you put it back together so there is no risk of the pod falling out of the body by accident. If you are someone who also uses 510 oil cartridges and other vapers have reported Tronian Nutron is a good place to start.

Onto the pod itself; it feels thick and secure, probably capable of enduring a few drops without actually breaking to pieces (which is always nice since some people are prone to dropping their pods from time to time). The rubber silicon that makes up for the e-liquid filling cap is thick and secure so no worries of leaking after you have tightly closed this bad boy.

The pod’s mouthpiece is a bit wider than the previous generation’s and it actually feels more comfortable to vape on for us so it may be a pro or con depending on your preference. As with the previous iterations of this device, it includes a mouthpiece cover to make sure that you can keep the mouthpiece clean whenever you store the device in your pocket or someplace else, this is always a nice inclusion.

The Aspire Breeze NXT is initially available in three colors; white, black, and red. All of which have a metallic sheen to them which looks really elegant. We personally prefer the white variant since it exudes more or that premium feel than the other colors but it may be hard to keep pristine in the long run.

Flavor Quality – How is the flavor on the Aspire Breeze NXT?

The Aspire Breeze NXT includes two 0.8 resistance mesh coils out of the box. These coils produce excellent flavor quality and the vapor thickness we have come to expect from Aspire’s Breeze series.

These mesh coils use kanthal as the wicking material and we haven’t had any issues with dry hits so far when using 50/50, 60/40, and 80/20 salt nic e-liquids so far.

What really helps with the vaping experience and quality when using this device is the larger mouthpiece and of course, the adjustable airflow system that Aspire has used with this device.

We frequently found ourselves playing with the different levels of airflow available when vaping and have come to the conclusion that the range of airflow available in this device can really cater to a wide range of vapers’ preferences. If you are looking for a 510-thread battery for oil cartridges we suggest checking out the PCKT One Plus.

Want that tighter draw? Turn the airflow wheel a bit. Want more air? Just turn the wheel a bit. It’s all so convenient that it will probably take you less than 30 minutes to find that perfect airflow setting that will make for your perfect vaping experience the rest of your Aspire Breeze NXT time of ownership.

Aspire Breeze NXT vaporizer power controlPower Flexibility – Does the NXT give you any type of wattage control?

The Aspire Breeze NXT is not a variable wattage pod, which is probably its only weakness. Don’t get us wrong though, the power it delivers is solid throughout even when it is almost out of battery. Aspire has configured its mesh coils to work the best with the Aspire Breeze NXT’s power output.

But we would have liked the convenience of being able to choose our own wattage, even if it is just for a few preset modes. The Aspire Breeze NXT does have a bypass mode that pretty much works like a pass-through device that delivers power dependent on your current battery levels, which is still an acceptable option.

Aspire really did not skimp on the quality of life updates with the Aspire Breeze NXT. The wider mouthpiece that delivers more vapor, the awesome airflow control wheel that lets you choose the tightness of each draw, even the option to use the automatic draw function or the firing button whenever you want to take a drag. It’s all so convenient and flexible that we are pretty sure that this is a device that can please anybody.

The 5.4ml capacity of this pod ensures that you don’t have to keep filling it up every other moment but even if you are the type to chain-vape all day long, you will not have any gripes about the inconvenience of filling this device up because you do not even need to take the pod out of the body to do so! Just pull off the side-fill cap and fill it with your e-liquid. It’s that easy!

Portability – Is the Aspire Breeze NXT just as portable?

The Aspire Breeze NXT’s dimensions measure out at 96mm x 35mm x20.5mm which makes this a compact, pocket-friendly device that is similar to the popular Smok Nord’s footprint.

It is a bit thicker than the other stick-shaped vape pods out there like the Uwell Caliburn but the thicker body that the Aspire Breeze NXT has accommodates a higher capacity 1000mAh battery that is more than enough for most vapers to last them the entire day.

Who wants to run out of battery when they are out and about anyway? We would definitely recommend this device as an everyday-carry vape pod.

Overall Experience – The NXT Generation of Aspire

Aspire has produced another contender in the vape pod scene. The Aspire Breeze NXT almost has no weaknesses except for the lack of variable wattage feature. But the awesome customizable airflow control, solid build quality, direct power delivery, decent battery life, flavorful mesh coils, and the convenience of being able to use automatic draw or the manual fire button all trump any shortcomings that vapers may find in this device.

We are betting that Aspire will take a large chunk of the vape pod’s market share with this device and it would be well deserved. We do recommend that you grab one for yourself if you are looking for an all-around vape pod!
