The Vapir NO2
has been very well known amongst portable vaporizers since its introduction a few years ago. This unit was one of the first handheld vaporizers in the market. Vapir in general, is one of the front-runners in the industry as they have graced us with a multitude of units that have hit the market. The only unit that made it past our qualifty testing and onto our product list is the NO2. Today, we will have a closer look at this unit and give all you connoisseurs a full Vapir NO2 Vaporizer Review about the pros and cons of this unit.
Vapir NO2 Vaporizer
How to Use:
The NO2 is a classic top-loader meaning that botanicals are placed at the top of the unit under the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is easily removed with a little twist that exposes the botanical chamber. Once the mouthpiece is removed you can load up this portable vaporizer
. Filling the chamber half way will suffice and packing your botanicals is not really necessary with this unit. Once loaded up, you can turn the unit on by flipping the switch on the side of the unit. This will turn on the display and you can set your desired temperature. To initiate the heating process, simply press the red button under the display. Once the unit has reached its temperature you can start vaporizing by attaching the medical grade tubing and x-tip mouthpiece for cooler and smoother vapor.
The NO2 is one of the only portable units to have a digital temperature display. This makes it very versatile in terms of its temperature setting, as you can set temperature to the nearest degree of your liking. The maximum temperature the NO2 can reach is 205 degrees Celsius which is actually quite low these days. We would like to see that a little higher in the future as other newer units can reach higher temperatures. However, the fact that you can set your temperature to the nearest degree still allows us to give the NO2 a great score of 8.5/10 in this category.
When testing the NO2
we had some really high hopes for this unit in terms of vapor quality as it is one of the biggest portable units. The NO2 performed average and definitely did not blow us away. The vapor it produced at lower temperatures was ok in terms of flavor but we would have liked to see a little more density in the vapor. The vapor was thicker at the higher temperatures, but we sacrificed a lot of flavor while increasing the heat. The Heating chamber is relatively narrow allowing for efficient vaporization. In light of the good extraction rate, this vape deserves a 7/10 in this category.
Now if you’re looking to get the best vaporization experience possible with the Vapir NO2 we’d like to recommend pairing your unit with the new vapor cooling device from ZEUSArsenal, the ZEUS Iceborn. This revolutionary device actually increases the vapor quality of your Vapir NO2 by 2 points, dramatically cooling it down for smooth frosty draws. It’s also much more efficient than other filtration devices that use water, so you can get even bigger vapor clouds! Take a look!
The Vapir NO2
was one of the first portable vaporizers in the market. This unit is manufactured in china and requires customers to sign up for warranty within the first two weeks after purchase. The parts used are of average quality. This vape has been around for a long time now and proven itself to be relatively reliable. The botanical chamber is made of nice stainless steel and the heating element is pure brass delivering a quick heat transfer. The NO2 is very robust and does take physical abuse well. The warranty is only one year as compared to the industry standard of 2 years. In the future we would like to see the unit a little smaller and some upgrades on the design would also be nice. As of now, the unit receives a score of 6/10.
As previously mentioned, the NO2 has been on the market for a few years now and since its inception, portable vaporizers have become smaller and lighter. Therefore, the NO2 has some trouble keeping up these days. The unit has a nice ergonomic shape to it, but compared to other units is quite a bit bigger and heavier. One thing we like though is the unit’s battery life of up to 70 minutes of continuous vaporization. Furthermore, you can also charge the unit and vaporize at the same time. Therefore, the NO2 still manages to receive a 6.5/10 in this category.
Not being small obviously doesn’t help in this category but what we are looking for are vaporizers that do not draw a lot of attention to yourself. The NO2 does a decent job of this as odor development is quite low and the minimal design is actually quite discreet. However, if you attach the mouthpiece extension the unit looses pretty much all of its discreetness. The design really needs to be updated to stand the test of time and therefore the NO2 is also stuck on a 6.5/10 in this category.
Compatible with ZEUS Iceborn
This vaporizer is compatible with the ZEUS Iceborn, a revolutionary new vapor cooling system engineered by Canadian vape manufacturer ZEUSArsenal. The Iceborn is designed to produce cooler draws and bigger clouds when connected to your vaporizer. The vapour produced is ultra smooth and crisp and because of ice cooling, instead of water filtration, there is no loss of efficiency. The ZEUS Iceborn adds an additional 2 points to the vapor quality score of this vaporizer and is a highly recommended vaporizer accessory.
When looking at the big picture, the NO2 is a solid vaporizer that is a very reliable unit in terms of functionality. We like the digital temperature display and love the fact that you can vaporize and charge the unit at the same time. However, the NO2
is already a few years old and in some aspects this is noticeable. The unit is quite big, the design is a bit outdated and certain aspects like maximum temperature need to be improved. We would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a cheap portable vaporizer. We also recommend it to people that predominantly vaporize indoors. We enjoyed testing this unit and always respect vaporizers that pass the test of time. We therefore give the N02 a solid 7.4/10 in terms of overall experience.
