As most people decide to enjoy the great Canadian outdoors, small portable vaporizers are always popular items. One of the items that perfectly fit the bill is the Vapor Genie portable vaporizer. It is a very small pipe shaped unit that is easily operated simply by using a lighter. There is no need for butane or batteries. Many people I have talked to over the last couple of weeks have asked me if the Genie is simply a fun little gadget or actually a legitimate vaporizer. Well, we have tested this unit thoroughly and will tell you all about its vaporization skills.
When unpacking the Genie, one can instantly notice that it is a sturdy little device. There are no parts that could break off and it seems as if this unit would even be ok if dropped multiple times, which is a nice feature for a handheld vaporizer. What is also nice is that the botanical chamber is sealed so you can simply toss the unit into your pocket or bag without worrying that your product is going to come apart.
How to use the VaporGenie
Operating the VG is very simple. The pipe is easily opened up by unscrewing the top part of the filling chamber. One simply places their botanical in the heating chamber and closes the unit back up. A lighter is then placed around 3 cm over the pipe opening and lit. Once lit, slowly inhaling starts the airflow through the heating chamber. The VG simply uses the heat from the lighter. A ceramic stone protects your botanical from combustion although we do recommend being careful with the lighter as to not light the ceramic stone directly.
Vapor Genie Vapor Quality
The vapor quality of the Vapor Genie was actually not that bad. We really didn’t expect too much but were actually quite surprised. Although the unit cannot keep up with other portable vaporizers in terms of vapor quality, for its price and for its size we were very satisfied. It took a little while to figure out how long to hold the lighter over the top of the heating chamber in order to get nice vapor but once we had it down we did get some enjoyable and actually quite thick vapor. The flavor however was not the greatest because the unit does tend to vaporize in very high temperature ranges. To make up for this and ensure efficient vaporization even with this economical vape, we definately recommend a ZEUS Nano Grinder.
To sum up, the Genie is a fun summer toy. You can take it anywhere, never worry about batteries and toss it around without fear of breaking it. We only recommend it to people that are price conscious and want a little gadget to have fun with. If you are looking for a handheld vapourizer that is fun, quick, small and cheap, the Vapor Genie is the way to go!
