How it Works<\/h3>\n

The ICON is essentially a kit that allows you to turn any box mod into an e-rig. You simply screw the base onto the mod, choose a nail, then put the water filtration piece over top of the nail. The mod delivers power to the nail, allowing you to add your concentrate with the supplied tool and then cap the hole. <\/span><\/p>\n

Doing concentrates like this is nice because you have more control over the temperature than you do with a torch. <\/span><\/p>\n

\"KandyPens<\/p>\n

The kit includes the Wismec Reuleaux RX2\/3 mod. I honestly can\u2019t wrap my head around why. This is a full powered mod that can deliver up 150W-200W depending on how many batteries you put inside. The ICON can only handle a max of 50W.<\/div><\/div>

\"\"Temperature Flexibility<\/h3>\n

Like I just mentioned, the ICON itself can only handle up to 50W. This is plenty for what it needs to do, and you may actually find that you like the results a lot more when using less power. <\/span><\/p>\n

The mod that comes with the kit is more than capable of delivering all the power you need for the ICON. It\u2019s designed to be used as a box mod for e-liquids, so it has a full suite of wattage and temperature control options as well.<\/span><\/div><\/div>

Vapor Quality<\/h3>\n

The vapor quality is good. It\u2019s always nice to get multiple nail materials to choose between, and being able to customize your power is also nice. If you use this near it\u2019s max 50W, the clouds are thick and hit hard. I enjoyed it more with less power because you get better flavor. <\/span><\/p>\n

The three nail options are quartz, ceramic, and titanium. I enjoyed them all, and each one gives a slightly different experience. They won\u2019t last forever, so I recommend trying each one before you decide which type to buy more of.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve tried a lot of different e-nails lately, and I\u2019m a big fan of the bigger, better water filtration options. They help smooth out the vapor and cool it down considerably. It doesn\u2019t appear that KandyPens offers anything other than the stock attachement – although I imagine others would work on the ICON.<\/span>\"KandyPens<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/span>

Manufacturing Quality<\/h3>\n

The manufacturing quality is fine. I\u2019m going to be honest here: I can\u2019t really find a difference between this and the Dr. Dabber Boost 510 threaded attachment. <\/span><\/p>\n

They seem almost identical in every important way. The attachement is built the same, the nails – including the materials – are the same, and so os the stock glass piece. Maybe there is something I\u2019m missing though.<\/span><\/p>\n

All I\u2019m saying is that I wouldn\u2019t be surprised if this wasn\u2019t a KandyPens exclusive. It still seems well made though.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"KandyPensBattery Life<\/h3>\n

The battery life of the Wismec Reuleaux RX2\/3 mod is fantastic, especially with this kit. It can hold up to three 18650 batteries inside, which will last a very long time when vaping it at 50W and under. <\/span><\/p>\n

While it may be over powered for the attachment, I have to admit that the extra battery life is nice.<\/span><\/div><\/div>

\"KandyPens<\/h3>\n

Portability<\/h3>\n

The portability of this is not good. While you may see these e-nail attachments branded as portable, they\u2019re only portable when compared to a full dab rig. <\/span><\/p>\n

This is not something that you will be carrying around and using on the go. I view it as a stay at home type of setup that you can occasionally pack up and take on vacation or to a friends house for a party.<\/span><\/div><\/div>

\"KandyPens<\/h3>\n

Ease of Use<\/h3>\n

This isn\u2019t hard to use at all, although it is more complicated than a lot of dab rigs because the kit has a full mod powering it. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Wismec Reuleaux RX2\/3 has a lot more features than you will need for the ICON, so you may get confused when navigating the menu. If you get this, just make sure you take some time familiarizing yourself with the navigation and settings so you don\u2019t scew things up down the road. Remember, 50W max power!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"KandyPensOverall Experience<\/h3>\n

The KandyPens ICON does what it claims it can do.<\/span><\/p>\n

My only problem with it is that it is almost identical to so many other attachments I\u2019ve tried. There may be some differences, but they aren\u2019t noticeable or worth mentioning. Well, everything except the price. I know I\u2019ve seen very similar setups for sale for a lot cheaper than you can get just the ICON.<\/span><\/p>\n

What I\u2019m saying is that there is no reason to not get this, just make sure you shop around and get the best deal for what you are getting.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you need a box mod to go with it, the Reuleaux RX2\/3 is more than you actually need. The one advantage to using it is the battery life, but you will need multiple.<\/span><\/p>\n

For those just looking for a wax pen to start with we recommend the Thunder 2.<\/p>\n
