The BRNT\u00a0collection consists of four pieces, all of which are designed in-house and produced by hand. This lends every piece produced a uniqueness not common in an industry dominated by inexpensive Chinese imports.<\/p>\n
The collection is designed to go together, not just in appearance, but also in structure and design. As soon as you use these pieces together, we think you\u2019ll agree that this collection-style release is the direction that high-end paraphernalia is headed.<\/p>\n
Hexagon is the water pipe and the most dominant piece in the collection. It is exceptionally dense, and when it is passed around, users are surprised by the weight. It seems to be made of some sort of formed ceramic, which is exceptionally sturdy and well insulated. Ideal water level is easy to gauge despite the opacity of the body. The water pipe comes with a non-reactive silicone seal, and a sturdy glass bowl and downstem.<\/p>\n
Yaketa (the rolling tray), Briq (the ashtray), and Faro (the pipe) all fit smoothly together. That\u2019s not a turn of phrase. The Briq and Faro fit neatly into their designated spaces on the hand-carved Yaketa tray without any significant shifting or sliding. The tray can sit on one\u2019s lap at an angle without anything moving or shifting at all.<\/p>\n

Briq has a concrete base, which is basically indestructible, and yet does not scratch wood or glass. Far from the disposable pipe of a bygone era, Faro is quite literally the last pipe that you will ever buy, because it is never going to break.<\/p>\n

This whole collection is designed to be displayed, unlike the bulky Hybrid Volcano<\/a>. Every aspect of the pieces is designed with aesthetics in mind, from the angles of the Hexagon water pipe to the geometric design emblazoned onto each piece. The Yaketa rolling tray, in particular, is not out of place when left on one\u2019s coffee table.<\/p>\nInstead, I found they actually add to the modern design of my apartment. My friends actually assumed it was furniture and quickly deputized it as the designated space for keys.<\/p>\n
To my surprise, it was Briq which changed my smoking habits the most. I am not a person who owns an ashtray, because I have always found them unattractive. Instead, I have used a series of cups, plates, or soda cans. in order to avoid having a designated place where ash goes. No longer. Briq is pretty enough to leave on my tray.<\/p>\n
It actually adds to the aesthetic of my home, and it is far more convenient than going to the sink every time you want to ash a joint. Did I mention the fact that it has a lid? The highest performing aspect of this collection is the fact that the pipe fits neatly into the tray. Some of you will be surprised to hear this. Those of you who spend a lot of time hitting water pipes in groups will be far more understanding.<\/p>\n
The thing about trading bowls with friends is that you often end up grinding more than you need. Then the person next to you does the same. As does the next person. By the end of a session, we\u2019ve got extra cannabis.<\/p>\n
Many users usually prefer to opt for portable vaporizers like the Utillian 722<\/a>, just to save their cannabis from getting wasted.<\/p>\nNot enough for another bowl, but enough that it\u2019d be a shame to waste it. Enter the Faro. Having a pipe at hand changes your entire smoking experience. It also encourages you to send more than one bowl through the circle at a time, which is basically the best party trick on the planet.<\/p>\n
My secondary favorite is most certainly Yaketa and it’s incredibly smooth wood and rounded corners. I have used many a tray, some were plastic novelties commandeered from the University cafeteria, some were herb-specific contraptions which I bought at the same stores where I purchased my water pipes and papers.<\/p>\n
I have never experienced something so smooth, and so clearly designed with a flower in mind. Ease of Cleaning<\/h3>\n
The Hexagon presents an interesting cleaning situation. Is it easy to clean like the Arizer V-Tower<\/a>? Exceptionally so. Fill the base with isopropyl alcohol and a bit of kosher salt (remove the bowl and downstem first!). Shake the water pipe vigorously and repeat the process until the alcohol runs clear.<\/p>\nSounds easy, right? It is. Here\u2019s where things get a bit more complex. How do you know when to clean it? Mostly by the color of your cleaning solution mixture.<\/p>\n
The Faro presents some of the same problems. Pipe cleaners are great for a quick wipe-down or clog, but no good for a thorough cleansing. I recommend soaking the whole thing in a bowl isopropyl alcohol until the liquid turns black, and repeating the process until there is no longer any residue to be dissolved.<\/p>\n
Yaketa and Briq require very little cleaning. I would advise against oiling the wood of either product, particularly Yaketa. These oils are often designed for surfaces which do not touch food or consumable products. It is reasonable to assume none of them have been tested with regards to cannabis.<\/p>\n
Even in the best case scenario, these added oils are likely to negatively affect the taste of your cannabis. Polished wood looks great, but do yourself a favor and resist the urge. <\/div><\/div>

The idea of a collection designed to work together is something that I\u2019m used to experiencing with clothing, but which feels revolutionary here. Of course, the company which made my tray should also make the ashtray which fits onto it. Of course, it makes sense for my pipe to be designed to fit neatly on that same tray.<\/p>\n
Of course, ashtrays should have lids, and be designed to hold thick cones. This all seems perfectly logical now that I\u2019ve experienced this series, but when they came into the office, the features blew our minds!<\/p>\n
This is new for the industry, but it\u2019s a sensation that we should all get used to. We live in a legal environment. This is no longer a sphere for companies who are willing to operate \u2018on the fringes\u2019. Paraphernalia is no longer the realm of hippies. Rolling trays and water pipes are not accessories for college kids. It is consumed by adults with grown-up tastes and budgets. It feels like the industry is finally beginning to recognize that, and BRNT is a great example of the increase in quality we can look forward to in this market.<\/p>\n
