Dynavap has just put out the 2020 Dynavap M<\/a> with some pretty impressive improvements over the 2018 Dynavap M<\/a>! With a new beautiful body, redesigned tip, and ergonomic enhancements, we\u2019re really keen to see how they\u2019ve improved the already loved Dynavap. How it Works<\/h3>\n

If you’ve read our Firefly 2 Plus review<\/a>, you’d know there are quite a few unique ways in which dry herb vaporizers operate. In the same vein, the Dynavap M is a bit unconventional in terms of cannabis vaporizers. It isn’t as simple as something like the LITL 1<\/a>, but how to use the Dynavap 2019 is quite simple though. Load the tip up with some ground cannabis, it doesn\u2019t have to be too finely ground either. Pack it down slightly and put the tip back on. Now aim your torch roughly an inch or two from the cap towards the middle of the cap. Rotate the entire thing to ensure you\u2019re heating the entire cap.<\/p>\n

Depending on your torch and method, the tip will click anywhere between 5-30 seconds! Once that\u2019s done just inhale and enjoy until it unclicks. Cover the carb for stronger, more powerful hits.<\/p>\n

Temperature Flexibility<\/h3>\n

This is like driving a manual car versus an automatic. You do have full and complete control but you\u2019ll certainly have to learn the optimal technique to get the best performance. After a half dozen sessions or so we\u2019re sure you\u2019ll have gotten the technique down pretty well!<\/p>\n

You can certainly combust with the Dynavap 2019, so don\u2019t push too hard after the click! Heat-up time is rather fast, depending on the type of lighter you use. A multi-jet lighter will heat up the Dynavap 2019 much quicker than a single flame torch. Where you heat the Dynavap also changes \u2013 heating on the side and slowly rotating it offers a different experience than heating just the tip. Users looking for ultimate control of the temperature tend to prefer devices with precise temperature control like the Arizer Air 2<\/a>.<\/div><\/div>

\"Dynavap<\/p>\n

Vapor Quality<\/h3>\n

The Dynavap packs a mean punch. You wouldn\u2019t think you\u2019d get such strong hits from so little cannabis, but you\u2019d be wrong. By far the most powerful and best cannabis vape under $100 around in terms of vapor quality. You can extract a full load in 2-3 hits or heat it up just at the tip for an extended 6-10 cycle session.<\/p>\n

The vapor is a bit harsh due to the short vapor path, and those monster hits certainly will have you coughing a bit. The flavour is pretty good, but not quite on par as some convection vapes like the Utillian 722<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On the 2019 version, the airflow is slightly improved over the previous Dynavap M models. Nothing completely groundbreaking, however, it\u2019s certainly an upgrade and makes a difference in draw restriction.\u00a0<\/div><\/div><\/span>

Manufacturing Quality<\/h3>\n

Dynavap have really gone above and beyond with the build quality on this guy. Of course, they\u2019re nearly indestructible being made entirely of stainless steel, unlike the Solo 2<\/a> that has all glass vapor path, but the newest version is definitely the most attractive. The new machining makes it more ergonomic than ever and pleasing to the eyes. Almost as good looking as the Omnivap.<\/p>\n

Included in the box is a decent kit consisting of the Dynavap itself, airtight travel tube, and sticker (woo!). You will need to buy your own torch lighter to use it! A lighter or any other heat source will work, but a torch is best.\"Dynavap<\/p>\n

Portability<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s really small. Basically a vaporizer 1 hitter, it\u2019ll slide into any pocket with ease. Make sure to factor into consideration your torch too!<\/p>\n

Many regular sized torch lighters exist however so it shouldn\u2019t be too much of a concern. However, users who do not want to concern themselves carrying the extra baggage, “the torch”, usually prefer units like the Zeus Arc GTS Hub<\/a> which is easy to pocket and portable. <\/div><\/div>

\"Dynavap<\/p>\n

Ease of Use<\/h3>\n

It seems rather complex but really, once you have a couple sessions with it, you\u2019ll be well on your way to top notch performance. It is much easier than the steep learning curve of the Firefly 2+<\/a>. Passing it to a friend or stranger will likely need some coaching, and I recommend heating it for them. Ensure they cover the carb hole too!<\/p>\n

Cleaning is super simple as the entire device comes apart easily. Remove the o-rings from the condenser and pop all the steel pieces into a glass isopropyl alcohol. Swirl it around a bit and wait 5-10 minutes. All the gunk and grime will have mostly come off and just a little work with a cotton swab will get rid of anymore build-up with ease. <\/div><\/div>

\"Dynavap<\/p>\n

Discreetness<\/h3>\n

Let\u2019s be real, heating it in public is definitely not discreet and practically guaranteed to get some strange looks. On the plus side, you can knock out a strong session in less than a minute, perfect if you need to medicate or have some fun quickly.<\/p>\n

The compact size also makes it easy to conceal in a pinch, and the airtight storage tube is super beneficial for keeping smells out of mind. Not the most discrete choice but certainly not bad unless you constantly use in the public eye. Users that prefer units that are more discreet usually tend to like devices such as the Utillian 620<\/a> which is petite in size and has little to no smell since its a convection based unit.<\/div><\/div>

Overall Experience<\/h3>\n

The Dynavap is definitely one of the better boutique cannabis vaporizers you can get. The 2019 model is just an improvement on every front.<\/p>\n

Not everyone is going to love the idea of using a torch to heat up their cannabis; for those people, I would recommend checking out the Utillian 421<\/a>, for roughly the same price you get a solid starter vape complete with digital display, 6 temp setting, and a glass mouthpiece.<\/p>\n

In terms of 2019 vs 2018 Dynavap M<\/a>, the 2019 edition is certainly worth getting if you don\u2019t own one already. If you\u2019re already an owner of the previous year\u2019s models, then it\u2019s up to you if you want to fork up for an upgrade.
