The Linx Hermes 3<\/a> is a very minor update to the Linx Hermes 2, and in this review, we\u2019ll go over some of the differences and how the Linx Hermes 3 stacks up to the rest of the competition. Please note that the Linx Hermes 3 is an oil vaporizer and cannot be used with solid cannabis extracts or cannabis!<\/p>\n

How to Use – How do you operate the Hermes 3?<\/h3>\n

The Linx Hermes 3 is a little different than your average oil vape. While most oil vapes require you to swap between cartridges and pods, the cartridge on the Hermes 3 can be easily filled up yourself. This is a great option for those who prefer to source their own oil and manually fill up with their own favorite material.<\/p>\n

You can however still remove the atomizer and put on any 510-threaded oil vape cartridge easily.\u00a0 The device still works the same afterward, using the single button to power the device on with a few clicks, and the same button to cycle between temperature settings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Temperature Flexibility – 3 Voltage Settings on the Hermes 3<\/h3>\n

While they give you a small selection of three temperature settings to play around with, we\u2019re not exactly sure what they are! However, it\u2019s better than no flexibility at all and the different settings certainly produce different results.<\/p>\n

We\u2019d definitely like to know what temperature\/voltage each setting runs at. At this point though, budget oil vapes are pretty barebones and power control is still a concept reserved for more expensive units like the Vessel cartridge battery<\/a>. Hermes 3 including it at this price point is definitely a nice bonus.<\/p>\n

Vapor Quality – What type of atomizer does the Hermes 3 use?<\/h3>\n

Most of the performance will depend on the sort of distillate that you\u2019ll be running through it. With that being said, the Linx Hermes 3 atomizer<\/a> included does a terrific job at vaporizing oils of various viscosities while giving a nice and pure flavour with big clouds.<\/p>\n

If you’re looking for even better performance with a dab rig, the Dab Cap works for your favorite vape pen<\/a> (Hermes 3 included) and allows you to hook up the Hermes 3 with your dab rig of choice.<\/p>\n

We have no complaints or areas of improvement on the vapor quality front! The atomizer is clearly built well and works great. Just make sure to use a high-quality oil. We find this atomizer to be preferable to the CCELL Silo<\/span><\/a>, M6T, and Transpring A3c. It\u2019s quite good!<\/p>\n

Manufacturing Quality – Is the Hermes 3 built well?<\/h3>\n

Linx has a good track record for making reliable, attractive, and solid devices. The Hermes 3 vape is no different and they\u2019ve chosen high-quality materials to assemble the whole unit.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s attractive and modern to boot and feels like a step up over conventional oil pen vapes such as the Yocan Wit<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The atomizer doesn\u2019t leak, wicks very well, and will get almost every little drop of oil out of your fill. Included in the box is a decent kit consisting of the battery, atomizer, charger, and carrying case. There\u2019s not much else you\u2019ll need and for the price, it feels like a solid value!<\/p>\n

Battery Life – How is the Hermes 3 battery life?<\/h3>\n

We\u2019re a bit sad to see there isn\u2019t a bigger improvement on the battery. You\u2019re still limited to a mere 290mAh cell.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019ll provide power for a day or more for most people, frequent users will be a bit disappointed with how often it\u2019ll need to be charged.<\/p>\n

To be fair though, the capacity of the battery is pretty common for this size of device and we\u2019re not too upset over it. However, users looking for a unit that has more battery power usually tend to prefer devices like the Smok Micare which has up to 700 mAh battery.<\/span><\/p>\n

Portability – Is the Hermes 3 still portable?<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s pretty tiny! Though a bit thicker than oil pen vapes, the Hermes 3 vape is still very small and easy to take practically anywhere you want.<\/p>\n

Oil pens are definitely the way to go if you want a lightweight travel option with big power behind it, then you\u2019re looking in the right place.<\/p>\n

Weighing barely 28 grams, you\u2019ll probably forget it\u2019s in your pocket and occasionally skip a heartbeat every time you think you lost it. Some users that are ready to forgo a bit of portability for stronger hits usually tend to prefer units like the PCKT One Plus.<\/span><\/div><\/div>

\"Linx<\/p>\n

Ease of Use – Simple & Straight Forward<\/h3>\n

Oil vape pens are quite easy to use as a whole, but the Hermes 3 has a bit of a learning curve if you\u2019ve never filled an oil cartridge before.<\/p>\n

High-quality distillate can be put into the atomizer using a small syringe, and not any other way. The atomizer holds 0.5mL of material which is on the smaller side, so you may find yourself frequently loading up.<\/p>\n

Beyond that, the single-button operation is very easy and passing it to friends and strangers for a hit is not a problem at all \u2013 as long as they know how to hold down a button and inhale at the same time. Some users that are new to oil pens and do not want to undergo the learning process usually tend to prefer devices such as the Yocan Uni Pro<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall Experience – How does the Hermes 3 stack up?<\/h3>\n

The Hermes 3 vape makes a minor but welcome update to the Hermes 2 \u2013 if it ain\u2019t broke, don\u2019t fix it as the saying goes!<\/p>\n

The addition of variable temperature control is nice although basic, and the upgraded atomizer performs even better than its predecessor.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for a top-class performing oil vape that can be refilled multiple times, then the Hermes 3 is definitely worth it. In fact, the atomizer itself is worth buying even for use with other devices since its performance and reusability are better than a lot of the atomizers we\u2019ve come across!<\/p>\n

The battery life is par for the course and most budget oil vapes don\u2019t feature any temperature control as Hermes 3 does. With all that in mind, we definitely recommend Hermes 3!<\/p>\n
