Yes, they are both named Puffco Plus since many cool updates have been added, but the general concept of the Dab Pen stays the same. The Plus has always had a consistent spot on the top <\/span>Wax Pen Rankings<\/span><\/a>, but let’s see if the updated version will climb the latter.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this review, I’ll talk about the features, pros and cons, and how to use the <\/span>New Puffco Plus<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>This <\/span>Wax Pen<\/span><\/a> is specifically designed to give you a seamless and discreet experience with your concentrates.<\/span><\/p>\n

How it Works<\/span><\/h2>\n

Using the Puffco Plus Dab Pen is very simple, which is one of the reasons why it’s so popular.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To use the New Puffco Plus, follow these easy steps.<\/b><\/p>\n

Step 1:<\/strong> Press the power button five times quickly to turn the Puffco Plus on.
\nStep 2:<\/strong> Unscrew the mouthpiece and extend the dart by pressing down on the silicone tip.
\nStep 3:<\/strong> Load a small amount of concentrate into the chamber using the dart.
\nStep 4:<\/strong> Screw the mouthpiece back on firmly and twist it.
\nStep 5:<\/strong> Press the power button four times quickly to cycle through the temperature settings.
\nStep 6:<\/strong> Hold the power button down and inhale gently to produce vapor. The device will shut off automatically after eight seconds of use.

When loading the Puffco Plus with Wax, remember not to go over the little side holes since this may cause spillage during the heating process. Using the tool is a great way to make sure you don’t spill any wax. It feels pretty solid, like the Zirconia tool found on the <\/span>Gammatron<\/span><\/a>, which doesn’t extend like the Plus does. Also, a quick tip you will find in the manual is that in sesh mode, let your heating chamber heat up for a few seconds before starting your inhale for the best results.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vapor Quality<\/span><\/h2>\n

The New Puffco Plus is known for its ability to provide large clouds of vapor due to its higher temperature settings. The coil-less ceramic bowl of Puffco evenly heats the concentrate, but the intense heat through the shorter vapor path may sacrifice some of the delicate flavors and aromas. However, there are some devices that can deliver flavorful vapor even at higher temperatures like the <\/span>Utillian 6<\/span><\/a>, which utilizes a combination of precisely calibrated heating cycles and a unique bottom-heated bucket chamber with the spinning terp pearl.<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s important to note that the Puffco Plus New does not burn or combust the material, preserving its potency. I believe Puffco has even said that this unit is somewhat like a portable E nail due to its huge temperature range, I don’t think it really compares since E Nails and <\/span>E Rigs<\/span><\/a> tend to provide much stronger sessions. In all honesty, I would compare this unit to another Wax Pen like the <\/span>Utillian 5<\/span><\/a> which also produces big clouds but at lower temps can also give you flavorful vapor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall, the Puffco Plus is meant to hit hard, and it definitely gets that job done. Personally, when using this unit, I opt for the sesh mode but let the unit heat up for a few seconds before inhaling on the mouthpiece. I find that this operation method provides the best results. <\/span><\/p>\n

Manufacturing Quality<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Puffco Plus New is very well built when compared to other Wax Pens because it is made with high-quality materials and looks really nice. It is durable and won’t get smudged by fingerprints. The pen has a special grip that keeps your fingers cool when it gets hot. It feels solid and comfortable to hold, and it weighs only 0.2 lbs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some units might be able to compete with the Puffco Plus, like the <\/span>Gammatron<\/span><\/a>, which comes with its very own wax storage container, but overall, in general terms, the Puffco Plus is one of the most solidly built units on the market.<\/span><\/p>\n

For those who appreciate the solid build of the Puffco Plus, the <\/span>Puffco Proxy<\/span><\/a> offers a similar level of durability in an e-rig format. Its robust construction and intuitive single-button interface provide a seamless transition for users looking to expand their vaping arsenal with a reliable and stylish e-rig option.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The New Puffco Plus is really good, but the charger could be better. It uses an old-style USB plug that is not very convenient. Many other pens use a newer USB-C connection that is more flexible and charges faster. Also, you have to take apart the pen and screw the battery into the charger, which takes time and is slightly annoying.<\/span><\/p>\n

Similarly to units like the Focus V Aeris<\/a>, the New Puffco Plus’s chamber is cleaned using a simple cotton swab. Different to coils which need to be soaked, these bucket styled chambers are much easier to clean.
