We’ve got another great battle for you enthusiasts today! This battle will put two pen style vaporizers up against each other that both have the ability to make use of dry botanical. In one corner, we have the Snoop Dogg G pen vaporizer, the child of a union between Grenco Science and Snoop Dogg to make a pen that’s branded in the Snoop style. In the other corner we have the ZEUS Thunder, a 3-in-1 pen unit from ZEUS Arseanal that’s been a big hit with connoisseurs right from its release. Which one will take home the win? Let’s get into the showdown to see which is superior!
ZEUS Thunder Vs Snoop Dogg G Pen
When it comes to dry botanical, both of these units fair the same in this category because neither can vaporize dry botanical, they combust it. The difference between the two is that the ZEUS Thunder uses this as a convenience tool for those who wish to use it and provides the ability to use oils and extracts as well right out of the box. The G Pen, on the other hand, is confined to dry botanical that it can’t vaporize.
The G Pen uses a lot of metal and glass in its construction so the build quality is pretty good. That being said, the execution isn’t altogether flawless and some of the smaller details feel less than perfectly executed.
The Thunder has a sleek and luxurious PVD coating which gives this pen the feel of a really high quality gadget. The coating also protects it from being easily scratched, scuffed or nicked while you’re carrying it around. The execution of the little details such as the LED’s and the button also feel well executed.
In the case of both the G Pen and the Thunder, they both don’t have much in the way of flexibility with their temperature. As 1 button units, they can only reach one temperature with the press of that button, which hinders them in this category. The tie, however, is broken by the fact that the ZEUS Thunder does get 30% hotter than the G G Pen does, which puts the Thunder ahead in this category.
Both the G Pen and the thunder have the same profile, which makes for pretty equal portability. The one thing that separates these two is that the Thunder also comes with a cap for the mouthpiece to protect it while it’s in transit. It may not seem like much, but it’s enough to tip the scales in its favor!
The Snoop Dogg G Pen is a pretty cool looking pen, but it does end up being a bit eye catching. The LED’s on the bottom of the unit don’t help this issue any and only serves to make this unit more noticeable to people in the area of where you’re using it. It also combusts your botanical, which makes a smell that would keep you from having a discreet session.
The Thunder is all black and the LED’s are in a much more hidden place than it is on the G Pen. This makes a much more discreet experience. This unit does combust dry botanical as well, but if you choose to use it with oils or extracts you can count on being able to have a very stealthy session!
Ease of Use
The Thunder and the G Pen are both pretty easy to use. Seeing as they both only have 1 button on them, they`re equally easy to use.
Both the Thunder and the G Pen have similar batteries that last quite a while before needing to be recharged. As a result, this section is a tie between the two.
