Arizer Extreme Q vs Arizer V-Tower Vaporizer

Updated: October 6, 2023

Introduction

As true Canadian connoisseurs we just love products that are made in the homeland. Both the Extreme Q and Arizer V-Tower are built right here in Ontario and show great Canadian craftsmanship. These units are made by Arizer, but with the difference in price there is a difference in product specs. Below we will inform you about what is different from a technical perspective and how that changes your experience at home.

The Bang For Your Buck

Arizer Extreme QIn terms of “bang for your buck” both the Arizer Extreme Q and Arizer V-Tower are outstanding compared to most units in the market. Especially in terms of vapor quality both units are excellent and their manufacturing quality sets the standard for vaporizers around the world.
On a side note, I made a trip to Germany in January 2012 and it was amazing to me how much a “Canadian Vaporizer” is looked up to over there. The funny thing is that we Canadians have a little bit of admiration for the Volcano Vaporizer despite the fact that it is “made in Germany” and all. The big picture, however, is that we are (especially British Columbia) kind of a cultural center for vaporizing and everything that goes with it!
In any case, the main difference between the two units is the way in which you vaporize. The Q Vaporizer gives you the option of vaporizing through the balloons or a regular whip (via the included Arizer elbow adapter), while the VTower only works through a whip. In short, from a technical standpoint the devices are very similar, but the Q has the following additional hardware:
  • Inbuilt fan
  • Remote control
  • Double the accessories
  • Balloon and Whip Pack
  • More advanced internal electronics (to process remote control and fan speed)

The Difference In Experience

Now you might ask yourself, what difference does this hardware make in my experience with the unit at home?
Arizer V-TowerLoading either of the two vaporizers is equally enough thanks to the included Arizer Cyclone bowl. When vaporizing with fellow connoisseurs however, the Arizer balloon system on the EQ is a lot more convenient, as passing around a balloon filled with cool vapor is much easier than passing the whip around. Furthermore, even if vaporizing alone, a balloon will allow you to walk around your home or lean back on your couch (big issue for me when I am chilling, since the whip is only 3 feet long). With the Tower, you pretty much have to stay next to the unit in order to vaporize. Another cool perk of the Arizer Q, is the remote control. That means that you can operate the unit without being right next to it. This is also pretty impressive if you decide to host guests with your vaporizer.

Summary

All in all, the Arizer V-Tower is great for people who usually vaporize alone or with just one other person. It is great for people with small apartments or for someone who vaporizes in a confined space. In this case there is no immediate need for a balloon system, although many people prefer the balloon system even if vaporizing alone. The most important factor is that the vapor quality is identical with both units. The Arizer Extreme Q is perfect for people who want to be mobile within their homes or for people who like to share their gadget with friends.
One thing is sure though,  if you’re trying to decide on the best desktop vape, the price/quality ratio for both units is great in comparison to some other brands in this price category. After all, the units are made in the connoisseur homeland J
