Review: Vessel Oil Cartridge Battery

Manufacturing Quality

Genuinely gorgeous. Though it’s made in China, just like the CCELL Palm and Yocan Hive, but make no mistake, it’s very well assembled and really beautiful overall. The wood is attractive, the metals are well machined, and you really get the feel for a luxury item here. If you’re into impressing people with shiny tech, this is quite the magnum opus indeed for this generation.

The Expedition editions are quite cool too with their seemingly rugged body. Seems more like a tiny flashlight than an oil pen. Still, we prefer wood/metal editions.

Aside from that, you get an average kit consisting of the battery itself, a charger, and quick-start guide.

Vessel battery power controlPower Flexibility

You get three voltage settings to choose between – 2.8v, 3.2v, and 3.6v. Some pretty good flexibility, especially considering how most oil pens don’t feature any versatility at all.

We think this is about the best oil pen you can get too. The power is consistent and reliable, there’s a notable difference between the voltage settings, and it does very, very well with good quality cartridges.

A lot of the vapor quality will also depend on both the cartridge and type of oil you use. Good battery + good oil + good cartridge. You can do the math on how that adds up! However, users that prefer higher temperature flexibility usually tend to prefer units like the Tronian Nutron.

The Vessel clocks in at 240mAh and about as high as you can get from an oil pen. Users looking for units with more battery usually tend to prefer devices like the Smok Micare. Expect around 100 hits or so through the battery if it comes from fully charged. There is one thing though…

Proprietary charger. No micro-USB compatibility here which kind of sucks. If you lose this charger, you’re pooched until you fork over the cash for a new one. If you’re out at friends and die, you can’t charge up with his cable. This is a letdown for sure.

Ease of Use

Oil pens are incredibly easy to use. The Vessel is certainly no different. Although it doesn’t have draw-to-activate tech like the Tronian Tautron, holding the button while inhaling is about all you have to do to get it going! Easy as pie. Swapping the cartridges out is no problem either, oil pens are about as simple as they come.

Though it’s much more elegant and attractive than your usual oil pen, it’s still incredibly discreet and it can take less than 10 seconds from off to coughing your lungs off from a big, heavy hit.

Only people familiar with oil pens will know you’re taking a hit from an oil pen rather than your average e-cig.

Portability

Oil pens are tiny and by far the best way to carry around a quick session with you. Though the Vessel battery is a bit bigger than your average oil pen, it’s a really negligible size difference.

Certainly worth it for the increased performance. However, users looking for a more portable oil pen tend to prefer devices like the Linx Hermes 3.

The performance, aesthetic, and overall feel from Vessel vapes is genuinely top notch.

We really do like the performance and feel of the device, and if you want a top-of-the-line, luxury oil pen, this might be the right guy for you.

If you are interested to buy the Vessel Oil Cartridge battery in Canada be sure to grab one from an authorized retailer.

For those who like the performance offered by the Vessel but feel it could do with a bit more features, the TOQi 510 wireless vaporizer supports the Qi wireless charging standard for untethered battery charging! If you’re just looking to spend less however and just want to dip your toes into vaporization, the Alfatron disposable 510 battery is another solid option.
