Arizer Extreme Q Review

7

When talking about popular Stationary Vaporizers the first thing that pops into most people’s minds is the Arizer Extreme Q vape. This is probably one of the top units that made Canadian Vaporizers famous around the world. I have personally seen them in Vancouver, Stockholm, Amsterdam and Vienna; and at this point I would like to mention that Boss allows me to expense my Amsterdam trips. This is probably one of the main reasons I work here at TorontoV. The popularity of this vape is mainly due to the outstanding quality one gets with at this price point. Today we will write an Arizer Extreme Q Review on this ultra-popular unit to give you guys the inside scoop.

If you want a few extra features and a unit that can perform closer to the Volcano Vaporizer, the VapirRise vs Extreme Comparison Review is something you want to check out after you read this post.

Arizer Extreme Q Vaporizer

Arizer Extreme Q Review

Vapor Quality

When testing this unit we were very pleased with vapor quality. What is especially nice about the Extreme Q is that you can choose to vaporize using the whip or filling balloons. Balloons are especially nice as the vapor can fully cool down before inhalation. Using both systems we were able to extract excellent vapor that had a very nice consistency and great flavor. Best of all, the vapor of this unit is extremely smooth allowing us to give it an extreme score of 8/10.

Now if you’re looking to get the best vaporization experience possible with the Extreme Q we’d like to recommend pairing your unit with the new vapor cooling device from ZEUSArsenal, the ZEUS Iceborn. This revolutionary device actually increases the vapor quality of your Extreme Q by 2 points, dramatically cooling it down for smooth frosty draws. It’s also much more efficient than other filtration devices that use water, so you can get even bigger vapor clouds! Take a look!

Manufacturing Quality

Extreme QWhen taking a look at the Extreme Q one can quickly see that this unit is manufactured very well. The casing is made of high quality stainless steel and the new “clear view” temperature display gives the unit a great look. Arizer has also made some really nice improvements for the current version of the vape. For example the circuitry is now “solid state” making it more responsive and less likely to malfunction. In addition, a fast heating ceramic heating element has been added and the unit is now 77% less noisy than older versions. Let’s also not forget that this unit comes with a very handy remote control. These are all really great improvements that make this unit one of the premier Vaporizers around and we therefore give it a great score of 8/10.

Temperature Flexibility

In terms of setting your desired temperature, the Extreme Q does a really great job. The digital display is very accurate and allows you to exactly set your temperature. This unit performed great on both low and high heat settings although we really loved the vapor at 210 degrees. Overall, this unit did great in this category at an awesome score 9.5/10.

Options

As already mentioned this unit is one of the most versatile vaporizers out there. You can vaporize using the whip or the balloons that are included with the unit. In addition, it also comes with a potpourri dish meaning that you can heat up botanicals for air freshening purposes. Therefore, the Arizer Extreme Q receives a good rating in this section, but if you want to know the detailed performance specs, follow the link to the Extreme Q product page.

Overall Experience

The Extreme Q is one of the best “bang for your buck” vaporizers. This probably explains why it is so incredibly popular. We love the fact that you can vaporize using both balloons or the whip and that the temperature display is very accurate. Furthermore, Arizer made some really great improvements for the new models of this vape. The EQ has consistently been close to the top of the Best Desktop Vaporizer Rankings and considering the low pricepoint is considered a safe buy.

Compatible with ZEUS Iceborn
This vaporizer is compatible with the ZEUS Iceborn, a revolutionary new vapor cooling system engineered by Canadian vape manufacturer ZEUSArsenal. The Iceborn is designed to produce cooler draws and bigger clouds when connected to your vaporizer. The vapour produced is ultra smooth and crisp and because of ice cooling, instead of water filtration, there is no loss of efficiency. The ZEUS Iceborn adds an additional 2 points to the vapor quality score of this vaporizer and is a highly recommended vaporizer accessory.

Tips & Tricks

As I said the balloon assembly sucks so if you really just can’t do it, a tight rubber band will suffice just fine for the O- ring. It’s not as pretty and occasionally needs to be checked on to make sure it’s tight enough but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. If you can figure out the bags, you rock, and I recommend just assembling them all at once, so in a months’ time you don’t have to deal with it again. That’s what I do now. The screens are the part you will notice gumming up the most with residue so clean them as often as possible with the cleaning solution to ensure the vapor quality remains supreme and the bags will blow up as fast as possible. Once the unit reaches the desired temperature let the botanicals sit in there for a couple extra minutes to ensure there is maximum vapor extraction and give it a stir every once in a while for even vaporization. I also just like to just load fresh botanical on the old pre-vaped stuff and I get the most out of it with no waste. I also read on a couple forums that the camel-back water bottle valves will fit on the EQ mouth piece instead of having to hold your finger on it. So, I’m still in the process of tracking one down to try it myself, but if it works it’s a great tip to remember if you don’t like holding your thumb on the mouthpiece! And of course the display is great but use the remote control whenever you can! It’s super useful when you just want to chill out on your couch.

  1. Thanks so much for the reviews, they’re very helpful and informative. I just purchased Arizer Extreme Q from you guys and I can’t wait to try this bad boy out! This will be my first vaporizer and hopefully not the last :D Is there any added advice you could give?

as a side note…I found someone talking about a Saturn Vapor Tamer. Do you have any thoughts on these? Do they really make a difference? :P

    • Thanks for your feedback Valerie! Glad to hear you found the reviews useful and you’re all is well with your EQ ;). The ExtremeQ is a fantastic vaporizer with amazing quality through and through – it will last! In terms of advice, we’d just recommend caring for the glass components, as they are fragile. And toss your bags once you see them gathering build up to keep your vapour nice and fresh! Also check out this How it Works video if you haven’t already: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrCGoWoFC98&feature=share&list=PLWkGBcrAhKOXwDiBbhGPD32EH1K2tBc1Y&index=10. With regards to cooler your vapour, it is definitely more enjoyable/easy to consume and removes all impurities. The AroMed is famous for it’s water filtration system for that exact reason. If you have the budget for it, it’s certainly a nice add on accessory that will improve your vaporizing experience with the EQ. Hope that helps! ;)
