We’ve reviewed the Qloudup Nexus which left us pretty satisfied, and we were keen to see how the Nexus Pro compared. With a slightly changed design, new magnetic assembly, and different atomizers included, we check out how the Nexus Pro performs and if it’s worth the price tag.

Review: Qloudup Nexus Pro
How it Works
The Nexus Pro is straightforward to use as with nearly every wax vape pen on the market. To start, magnetically snap on your desired atomizer and load up your chosen waxy material.
Clicking the button 5 times starts up the device while a triple click will let you cycle between the 4 different temperature settings. After that, just inhale from the mouthpiece while holding down the button and away you go!
The Nexus Pro gives us 4 temperature settings rather than the 3 seen on the original Nexus – 330,390,420 and 480°F, or 165, 198, 215 and 249°C. This left us more satisfied than with the original unit as the highest temperature is 20°F more than the originals, which we criticized for having too low of a maximum temperature.
While we like the temperature range, we still feel like the highest is a touch too low for those real powerful, lung-busting hits. Keep that in mind if you’re looking for the heaviest hitting device around.
Depending on the atomizer and temperature setting chosen, the vapor quality you get will vary.
For flavorful and lighter hits, we definitely recommend the ceramic bowl atomizer on lower temperatures, while we prefer the dual quartz atomizer at higher temps for heavier, more powerful hits.
Personally, I prefer low temperature this from the ceramic bowl atomizer for delicious flavors, however, your preferences may vary!
As the highest temperatures aren’t even that high, we found the Nexus Pro to be much smoother than other wax pens, even though it still has a pretty short vapor path. The glass mouthpiece ensures a clean, pure flavor which definitely makes it better than plastic or metal vapor paths.
We really love the addition of fully magnetic assembly, as it makes everything that more convenient and premium feeling. The stainless steel construction feels nice and the glass mouthpiece is also a welcome improvement over the original.
In the box, you’re given the battery/unit itself, the ceramic DisQ II atomizer, dual quartz atomizer, a dabbing tool, magnetic charger and user manual. This is a fairly standard kit that comes with almost every vape pen and doesn’t really blow us away or anything.
Overall, we like the build quality of the Nexus Pro and it feels great to use! It feels sturdy and reliable, however, the glass mouthpiece is something to be careful of as we feel like dropping it could lead to disaster.
With a 650mAh battery packed inside, you can expect around 50-80 hits, depending on the temperature setting you choose. This is fairly standard across wax vape pens and nothing special. It takes around an hour to charge up from empty with the included magnetic charger.
The charger itself is proprietary and you can’t top up the device via MicroUSB, which we find to be a downside as it’s bulky and if you lose it, you’re kind of stranded. It’s not a deal breaker however, just make sure you don’t misplace it!
As with most vape pens, it’s very pocket friendly and easy to take with you anywhere you go. Slipping into any pocket easily and fitting comfortably in the hand, it’s a no-brainer if you’re looking for a portable unit without compromising on performance.
Ease of Use
Like most wax pen vaporizers, the Qloudup Nexus Pro is very beginner friendly and easy to use. Once you use it a few times, you’ll have practically mastered it.
Handing it off to a friend for a few hits requires almost no coaching, and the large chamber makes it good for sharing.
Cleaning the unit is quite simple too. Tidying up the ceramic atomizer is a breeze with some isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swap, while the dual quartz one takes a little more effort. We recommend filling the chamber with a small bit of iso and letting it soak for a while – same with the glass mouthpiece.
After that’s done, give the pieces a quick rinse with distilled water and do a quick burn-off to make sure there’s no alcohol lingering.
Also like most wax pen vaporizers, it’s super easy to conceal in the palm of your hand and take a quick hit in a matter of seconds.
It may be a little less stealthy than something like the Airvape Om, but for 99% of situations, it’ll do the trick!
We were satisfied with the original Nexus, and the Nexus Pro brings some improvements that we definitely enjoy. If you’re looking for an ultraportable wax pen vaporizer without sacrificing much on the vapor quality front, then the Nexus Pro is a solid pick.
If you’re looking for even more powerful performance and don’t mind a bulkier device, the Saionara atomizer tacked onto any 510 box mod will really knock your socks off!
