We noticed that the Utillian 8 popped into the discussion since it has similar features yet is valued at half the new Peak Pro price. Today we will pit these E Rigs against each other and see which one comes out on top.
The Peak Pro is often praised for its top-notch features. It looks premium and works smoothly. On the other hand, the Utillian 8 is loved because it’s cost-effective. It provides many benefits of more expensive devices without burning a hole in your pocket. So, there’s a choice to make. Do you want to go all out for the luxury experience or save some money while still having a good time?

So, on paper, the Utillian 8 should produce better vapor, right? Well, in our testing, we found out otherwise. With the Utillian 8, the first and second back-to-back sessions were amazing; anything after that and the vapor would decrease in quality significantly. This is partly because the U8 does not have a heat sensor, so it’s not quite as precise and technologically advanced as the Peak Pro, as temperatures will fluctuate.
For the most part, the Peak Pro can be used many times back to back, delivering the same quality of vapor as the first session. The Peak Pro will be much more convenient if you plan to share sessions or take your E Rig to a social gathering. That being said, the U8 still provides amazing vapor for half of the price, the only downside being that it’s recommended to let the unit cool down in between sessions which is not a huge turnoff for people with average tolerance. Veterans who can dab back to back may not want to wait and would prefer the New Puffco Peak Pro.

On the other hand, the Utillian 8 takes a different path. It’s crafted from strong plastics and sturdy metals, built to handle daily use without any issues. This unit also features a fabric cover similar to the material used on portable speakers. This Fabric helps the device look more aesthetic and makes handling much smoother.

I’m going to give the U8 the win on this one simply because it does have a bigger battery at the end of the day, and even being able to keep up with a device double its price tag is impressive in its own right.

All in all, E Rigs are not known for being super portable Dax devices. For example, they simply cannot be as portable as a Wax Pen, which can fit in your pocket. With that said, I would give this segment a tie since they are quite similar and feature carrying cases, which is as portable as you can get with an E Rig.

Even though the Peak Pro provides more choices, focusing solely on ease of use, the U8 comes out on top. Remember, if you’re experienced and seeking the finest option, the New Puffco Peak is your choice. However, for regular users or those new to E Rigs, the U8 offers better value. It gives you the same four basic settings at the bottom of the device.
