Vessel Vista Review – Better than the first?
In our original Vessel vape pen review, the device charmed us with its elegant and premium approach to a crowded oil pen market. The team at Vessel has returned and brought us yet another addition to the Vessel vapes lineup in the form of the Vessel Vista – an oil pen vaporizer with a luxury aesthetic to it.
Check out what we think about it in our Vessel Vista review and if its worth it!
Review: Vessel Vista
How it Works
Oil vapes are exceedingly simple to use, and the Vessel Vista is no different. Thread on a compatible 510-threaded cartridge, power up the device with a triple-click, and hold the power button to enjoy your treats!
Thats really all there is to using this device, aside from changing the power output which well cover in the temperature flexibility section below.
Manufacturing Quality
These things are nice! It feels far nicer in the hand that the majority of oil pen vaporizers and that scalpel-like aesthetic looks, well, sharp.
You can tell that the unit is well machined and has an excellent build quality. It doesnt display fingerprints, it feels great in the hand, and for the classy consumer, something like this will definitely fit the bill better than most.
All of the batteries made by Vessel are gorgeous and a step above the rest, and the main selling point of the device. We can gladly confirm that they meet that selling point promptly.
Power Flexibility
Youre given three temperature/voltage settings to play with, however, this isnt exactly anything special now. When the original Vessel battery launched (which we very much enjoyed using), the three power settings were a step up over the fixed setting found on the vast majority of units.
Nowadays we see cheap oil vapes with multiple temperature settings now, so the three found on the Vista arent anything special. That being said, the power settings are well-chosen, however, we wouldve liked to see a little more versatility in the mix with this new model.
Vapor Quality
A lot of the vapor quality with oil cartridge vaporizers will depend on the material youre using, and if youre using high-quality cartridges then youll be quite happy with the quality.
Its great being able to change up the voltage to alter the experience you get from a given cartridge. In terms of oil vaporizers, it performs as good as you could want it to and we always recommend using the best cartridges available to get the best experience possible.
Portability
Youre provided with 320mAh of juice to play with which is more than enough for any user out there. This is more than most other oil pen vapes out there and it charges in no time.
It does use a proprietary magnetic charger, which although nice isnt exactly our favorite – a standardized port like USB-C is always more desirable just because of how available it is. Lose the charger? Youre in trouble.
A surprise to no one, oil pen vapes are hilariously portable considering the power they pack inside. The Vessel Vista is about the size of a regular Sharpie market, albeit infinitely more prestigious.
We like how theyve made the collar of the device mostly protect the cartridge within, saving your precious oils from any drops or falls should worst come to worse. The heartbreak of dropping a brand new cartridge on the pavement is nicely avoidable this way.
Ease of Use
Oil vapes are almost too easy to use and the Vessel Vista follows that. While it doesnt have to inhale activation unlike the Tronian Pitron, we cant say were too bothered by that as theres almost a hidden guilt towards using draw activated devices. Its almost too easy.
Still, you shouldnt have a hard time threading in your cartridge and playing with the buttons to turn it on, adjust the power, and inhale. We reckon a monkey could figure it out, and weve got a couple of monkeys on our team here who figured it out just fine.
Discreetness
Did we mention that oil pen vapes are almost too easy? Using the Vessel Vista when out and about almost feels like cheating compared to how moderately sketchy taking a few tokes was back just a decade back.
You can get pull it out, get a few heavy hits, and toss it back in your pocket before the door behind you has even closed. Theyre so small they can be hidden anywhere and while there are more discreet units out there, chances are you want this device to be seen considering how gorgeous it is.
Overall Experience
Theres really something pleasant about the feel, look, and aesthetic that the team at Vessel manages nails so well.
If you want to bring a little bit of prestige and class to your experience, you couldnt go wrong with one of these.
While we wish it uses USB-C charging like on their Compass oil vaporizer and had a couple more power settings, were still perfectly content with how good the experience itself feels – and thats worth something.
If you’re looking for something with a bit more flexibility when it comes to temperature options but still want to maintain the sleek look that the Vista offers, check out the Vessel vape pen.
