The Yocan Wit features a zinc-alloy chassis which houses the internal 500mAh battery. It is pretty simple and minimal in its design. The button placement is just okay.

The housing feels sturdy enough but there is some unpleasant rattling when handled. The satin-like finish which lends a little bit of texture when gripping the device so that it rarely feels slippery to the touch, even for those with sweaty palms.

Instead of using a display to relay relevant info about the device’s status, the Yocan Wit relies on an easy to understand yet effective series of LED lights that inform you of the device’s remaining battery life as well as the power mode that it’s currently set to.

Users looking for a larger battery life usually tend to prefer units like the Smok Micare that has 700 mAh battery.

Power Flexibility

The Yocan Wit has the ability to cycle between three preset voltage settings which essentially allow you to adjust the strength of the vapor produced.

We found that the low and medium settings are right around the sweet spot while vaping on the highest voltage setting might be a good option for those who are looking to keep their vaping time to a minimum.

Another common issue mostly prevalent to pen-style battery devices is the often long heat-up time when starting a new session. The first few puffs always tend to be lackluster and stale in the flavour and vapor department.

Portability

With the dimensions of the Yocan Wit vape measuring out to a mere 46x37x14.3mm, this makes it very easy to pocket. Users, however, that prefer to have a more portable unit usually tend to prefer devices like the Yocan Stix or Hermes 3 oil pen.

Usually with a device this compact some compromises need to be made especially where the battery is concerned, but that doesn’t seem to be an issue for the Yocan Wit as its 500mAh battery goes a long way when it comes to a single day’s use.

The fact that it charges up within a mere 30 minutes by its convenient micro USB port is nothing to scoff at although deep in our hearts we honestly wish that this device had a USB C port instead (We are in the 2020 people!).

Ease of Use 

While most devices as compact as the Yocan Wit tend to conceal the majority of the cartridge within the frame for maximum portability, this makes it quite a chore for when you want to check how much material is left in the tank.

This isn’t an issue for the Yocan Wit however as the device sports a slotted window where the cartridge goes in, giving you a clear view of the goods without having to pull out the tank.

Another handy-dandy feature of the Yocan Wit which makes things a bit easier for the end-user is the magnetic base of the 510 port which allows you quickly disconnect the cartridge from the battery.

While the cartridge still needs to be threaded onto the magnetic connector, it still makes separating the tank from the device a breeze when in a hurry or when your hands are full.

One major difference between the Yocan Wit vape and pen-style devices such as the Tronian Pitron, however, is that the former doesn’t use draw-activated firing. This might a pro or con depending on the user as both methods of firing definitely have their merits.

The singular power button is still a no-brainer to use however and even the least tech-savvy users out there should have no trouble when it comes to setting up their device.

Overall Experience

Overall the Yocan Wit vape is a decent oil pen battery for the price. It doesn’t do anything spectacular to change the game, it’s pretty rudimentary in its approach. There is not much to set this unit apart from other units in Yocan’s lineup like the Yocan Handy or Yocan Rega.
