Yocan Rega Pen Vape Review – Regabond
Weve reviewed a handful of Yocan devices in the past like the Yocan Evolve Plus and Yocan Uni and have always come away somewhat satisfied despite the cost which almost seems too low. Enter the Yocan Rega, a new oil vape battery at a low cost. With a 320mAh battery, adaptable fitting, and small size, it seems like a strong competitor to other units like the PCKT One Plus and CCell Palm. Check out our Yocan Rega review here for more!

Review: Yocan Rega
Power Flexibility – 3 voltage Settings power the Rega
The Yocan Rega has three voltage settings to choose from 2.7v, 3.5v, and 4.0v. This is fairly standard for budget oil vapes and certainly works very well. Low voltage settings give you those nice and light yet very flavorful hits while the high voltage setting hits you with big power!
Definitely, much performance depends on the atomizer and quality of oil inside, but the Rega has pretty solid versatility compared to some units in this price bracket.
Manufacturing Quality – Plastic body makes the Rega feel cheap
Yocan is a budget manufacturer but normally their units are decently built. When looking at other Yocan Units like the Hive 2.0, we noticed that the Rega does not seem to have the same quality and attention to detail.
However, for the low cost, this is about as good as you can get. Its certainly not as nice as a hard metal body or more premium devices.
Included in the box is a fairly basic kit consisting of the device itself, 510-thread adaptor, USB charger, and user manual. Theres not much else youll need to get going anyways.
Battery Life – Middle of the pack
With 320mAh inside, this is fairly average in terms of the battery department. Its not tiny by any means but certainly a bit less than the CCell Silo at 500mAh. Youll get through roughly 0.1-0.15 grams of oil before needing to top up, or roughly 125 decent hits or so.
This is definitely plenty for a day or weekend out though very frequent users may find themselves wanting something with a bit better battery life instead. Charging up from empty will only take less than an hour anyways so you can always quickly top up before a surprise outing.
Portability – How pocketable is the Rega?
Its quite small, to say the least! Add to the fact that your oil cartridge would be contained within the body itself when carrying it and you now have a very tiny and portable setup.
Ease of Use – Is the Rega just as easy as other oil batteries?
Simple, one-button operation makes using the Rega quite straightforward and seamless.
A double click of the power button enables the 10-second pre-heat function which definitely gives a nice boost to performance.
Oil vapes are quite simple to use as a whole and you shouldnt have much problem getting solid results on your first go.
Discreetness – Easily tucked away
Oil vapes are becoming quite common however typically appear like your typical e-cigarette anyways.
The Rega is so small anyway its practically hidden in the hand when palmed and having a quick hit or session will take no time at all.
Combined with its deep black appearance and it really won’t arouse much suspicion at all.
Overall Experience – Cheap Feel & Nothing Special
The Yocan Rega definitely works. In all honesty its nothing special at all and doesnt provide any crazy features or performance compared to other devices.
We don’t love the cheap-feeling plastic body and much prefer Yocan’s other units like the Hive 2.0.
For those looking for better build quality and a device that is pen-shaped be sure to check out the Vessel, one of the best oil batteries currently on the market.
