Zeus Arc GTS Hub vs Zeus Arc S Hub – Arc Alliance

Updated: October 6, 2023

With the recent unveiling of Zeus Arsenal’s heaviest hitters in their lineup, namely the Zeus Arc GTS Hub and the Zeus Arc S Hub, we thought it would be a good idea to do a showdown to highlight the similarities and differences these two 3rd generation vaporizers share. Like always, the goal at the end of the day is help you guys figure out which kit is the best for your needs. Enough preamble, let’s get into it right down below!

Zeus Arc GTS Hub vs Zeus Arc S Hub

Vapor Quality

Given how similar both the Zeus Arc GTS and Zeus Arc S are to each other, we weren’t really expecting a world of difference in this criteria. Both devices make use of the same Zeus ArcPods which essentially function as high-end dosing capsules for a more convenient and consistent vaping experience. In terms of flavor and vapor output, performance is identical when using the ArcPods and during a blind test, it was practically impossible to tell the two apart.

The difference comes in however when attempting to vape loose dry herb. One of the few key differences between these two dry herb vaporizers is that the Zeus Arc S does not support vaping loose dry herb and works exclusively with the use of Zeus ArcPods.

Zeus ArcPods

This is where the Zeus Arc GTS slightly pulls ahead. The ability to vape without the ArcPods allowed us to pack bigger bowls and experience significantly longer-lasting sessions. Users who prefer this method might want to consider using a waterpipe adapter for the ability to attach a bubbler. The Utillian Bubbler will allow for cooler hits even in longer sessions.

At the end of the day it just comes down to your preference and personal budget. Both vaporizers offer great flavor quality and vapor output, just at different price points. The  Zeus Arc GTS Hub just offers a bit more freedom when it comes to how you enjoy your herb compared to its lower-priced counterpart.

Manufacturing Quality

Differences here are marginal at best. The high quality hard anodized finish can be found on both vaporizers so you’re not really missing out regardless of which one you get. The Zeus Arc GTS does feel a bit more luxurious however thanks to the gold plated accents although that just might come down to a matter of preference.

Zeus Xtruder

As for the rest of the kit that comes included with these vaporizers, they’re the same thing. You get the same Zeus Hub, Zeus Xtruder, and amount of ArcPods regardless of which kit you pick. The only difference is that the Zeus Arc GTS Hub comes with a borosilicate glass spacer for those that prefer to shrink down the heating chamber for when vaping with a smaller amount of dry herb.

Battery Life

With both the Zeus Arc GTS and Arc S offering the same amount of battery power at 3500mAh, it’s a definite tie between these two as they both last for exactly the same amount of vaping time. Vaping smaller amounts of dry herb with the glass spacer on the Zeus Arc GTS might net you a small boost in battery life, but the difference is so small it’s practically negligible.

Portability

With the dimensions of both vaporizers coming out to just 87mm x 42mm x 22.5mm, you really can’t go wrong with either the Arc GTS Hub or the Arc S Hub. Both devices feature form factors that come up to just a third of vaporizers in the same performance bracket such as the Storz & Bickel Mighty. Pocketability is a breeze and either vape should easily slip in and out of your pocket or chosen storage medium.

With both these Zeus Arc vaporizers offering full compatibility with the Zeus ArcPods, loading up multiple pods in advance makes it easy to reload the vaporizer with a fresh batch of dry herb even when on the go.

Ease of Use

Using the included Zeus Xtruder to load ArcPods is exceedingly easy with either device. Simply attach the ArcPod to the tail end of the  Xtruder, load the Xtruder with dry herb and it should do the rest of the work as it loads the ArcPod directly. Once fully loaded with 0.3 grams of dry herb, the ArcPod automatically ejects from the Xtruder and is ready for use with either the Zeus Arc GTS or Arc S.

As for the vaporizers themselves, functionality is identical aside from the fact that the Arc GTS offers loose dry herb compatibility. Single handed operation is a breeze with the power button doing all the work on both the Arc GTS and Arc S, easily powering the vaporizer on and off as well as switching between your preferred heating profile.

Temperature Flexibility

With the use of ArcPods, both vaporizers perform identically. Both the Zeus Arc GTS and Arc S offer the same suite of firmware options for customising your ideal temperature presets. The only difference comes in when vaping with loose dry herb, a feature exclusive to the Zeus Arc GTS.

The Zeus Arc GTS manages to get the dry herb up to temp just ever so slightly quicker without an ArcPod loaded in. We’re really just nitpicking here as the difference in heat time between vaping with the  ArcPod or without one is so small that it really isn’t a factor in real life usage. Also keep in mind you can pair this device with a Zeus Arc Gt Water Pipe Adapter for cooler hits.

Final Thoughts

If you managed to make it to this point, you’ll already know what we have to say. Both the Zeus Arc GTS and Zeus Arc S Hub are fantastic dry herb vaporizers that manage to perform very similarly to each other in most regards. The only real difference comes through the slightly more premium feeling offered by the Arc GTS thanks to it’s  luxurious gold accents and the ability to vape with loose dry herb while forgoing the Zeus ArcPods entirely.

While some advanced users might not like the Zeus Arc S’s  idea of being chained down to the ArcPod ecosystem, the convenience the ArcPod offers when it comes to consistently and conveniently loading your vaporizer with dry herb between sessions is quite frankly a game changer in our opinion, The entire process of loading herb is simplified to the point where absolute beginners will have no trouble at all getting either of these vaporizers to work straight out of the box, and with excellent results to boot.

If you have the cash to spare, like the gold trim of the Zeus Arc GTS, and still prefer to vape with loose dry herb instead of the ArcPods, the Zeus Arc GTS is the obvious winner among these two. If you don’t mind the idea of saving a bit of cash while getting to experience the sheer convenience that the ArcPod system offers, The Zeus Arc S should definitely be on your to-buy list next time you’re on the hunt for a new dry herb vape.

Tools420 does an even more extensive review on the Zeus Arc GTS Hub and here’s what they had to say: “In conclusion, the Zeus Arc GTS is a high-quality portable dry herb vaporizer that was designed in Germany to bring amazing performance at a low cost. With its patented gold technology and improved mouthpiece, vapor quality is very respectable. However, with the streamlined engineering incorporated for grinding, packing, and loading, the vaping process has never been easier. Two thumbs up from us.”
