Arizer V Tower vs Da Buddha Vaporizer, Vape Showdown !

4
A couple of days ago we reviewed Da Buddha Vaporizer as it is the newest member of the TorontoVaporizer family. Many people called me in the last few days to inquire about the unit but more specifically asked me to compare it to similar units like the Arizer V Tower Vaporizer. Both these units are very popular whip style vaporizers. Today’s blog will focus on comparing the two to give you guys the scoop about which of these two units is best for you.

Comparison Review of V Tower vs Da Buddha Vaporizer

Arizer V Tower vs Da Buddha Vaporizer

Temperature Flexibility

Da Buddha

One of the first things you will notice is that the Buddha has no temperature display. To set your temperature one turns a dial at the front of the unit. What is interesting is that the dial is not labeled with numbers or so-called temperature levels. This makes setting the temperature a bit of a guessing game as you never know how hot your unit actually is. We found the best setting to be around medium. Due to this fact this unit gets a mediocre score of 6.5 in this category.

V Tower

The V-Tower comes with a digital display to set your temperature to the nearest degree. This ensures that you always know exactly at which temperature you are vaporizing and making adjustments is exact and easy. For example my favorite temperature with this unit is 210 degrees and with this unit I can set this temperature fast and easy. That’s why this unit scores a whopping 9.5/10 in this category.
Winner: V Tower – More exact, temperature display.

Manufacturing Quality

Da Buddha Da Buddha

First of all, this unit looks awesome. It’s a very good looking whip style unit and the guys making this unit absolutely made sure that it looks sleek and trendy. Most importantly, all components are of pristine quality, starting with the solid casing and the beautiful glass wand that attaches to the heating element. What really amazed us is the carrying case that comes with the unit. It’s an incredibly nice hemp bag that is nicely cushioned and comes with lots of pockets. Therefore Da Buddha scores a great 9/10 in this category.

V Tower

Arizer has been in the game for a while and one thing is certain, they know how to make great quality vaporizers. All parts used in the V-Tower are of great quality such as the ceramic heating element that has a lifetime warranty. The casing is sleek and strong and all components touching your botanical are all borosilicate glass. This unit shows off some great Canadian craftsmanship and therefore gets a great score of 9/10.
Winner: The V Tower is more technologically advanced, while the Buddha has a nicer thick aluminum casing. It’s a tie.

Speed

Da Buddha

This unit is lightning fast. It heats up to medium temperature in around 40-50 seconds and filling your botanical is a breeze. You will be vaping in less than 2 minutes, given that you have a trusty ZEUS Grinder to make sure your botanical is ground up to the perfect consistency.

Arizer’s unit heats up to medium temperature in around 1 minute and 30 seconds. What is nice is that you can observe the exact temperature on the display while it’s heating. Loading the unit is also done very quickly. Although heat up time takes slightly longer, the unit still gets a good score of 7/10 in this category.
Winner: The Buddha – Simply super-fast and very easy to operate.

Vapor Quality

Da Buddha

Da Buddha Vaporizer Heating ChamberThe unit produces some good quality vapor although it does seem to work best at the medium setting. Low heat settings did not produce the thickness of vapor that we hoped for and high heat settings make the vapor taste a bit harsh. However, once you figure out the temperature sweet-spot the unit can produce a great density vapor. Overall the Buddha gets a good score of 7/10 in this category.

V Tower

V Tower Heating ChamberAll Arizer units pride themselves to produce great quality vapor and this unit does not disappoint. Even on lower heat settings this unit produces some great dense vapor. Especially on lower settings the flavor is amazingly crisp and pure. On higher settings the unit still performed great, although the flavor wasn’t as great the thickness and density of the vapor will blow you away. This is due to the incredibly efficient heating element that is covered by a glass heater cover that insulates heat very effectively. All in all, this unit is one of the best in terms of vapor quality and scored a whopping 9/10.
Winner:  V-Tower – Great vape at all temperatures.

Options

For this category I will throw both units into one pot as either one of them is strictly a whip style vaporizer meaning that one directly inhales from the unit. That’s why we gave the Buddha a score of 1/10 and the V-Tower a 3/10. The reason Arizer’s unit scored higher is because it has the aforementioned display so you can easily read the temperature at any given time. Would be nice if both units were a little more creative in terms of what type of whip or mouthpiece one can use, but in the end with whip style vapes it comes down to functionality and low cost.

Overall Experience

Let me tell you, we thoroughly enjoyed testing both these units. Obviously….. (Smiley face). If you are looking for a high end whip style unit both vaporizers will not disappoint you. What we liked about the Buddha is the great looking design and its ease and speed of use. Let’s not forget the absolutely awesome carrying bag that complements the unit. The V-Tower on the other hand will give you full control of your vaporizing temperature and simply produces some stunning vapor. That is also the reason why I have to rate the V-Tower slightly higher than the Buddha in terms of overall experience winning by I tiny margin of 7.4/10 compared to 7.3/10.

  1. you can customize the Da Buddha with a custom glass dial, colored tube, and custom glass mouth piece and custom glass wands. while the V tower gives you no customization I dont know how you can give it a 1/10 when it has many more options than the supposed winner.

    • Very good point you make. Here is our take: A vaporizer should be primarily designed around functionality. So when we talk about options, we look at options that enhance functionality. In this case both units are whip style but the v tower has an auto shut off and an aroma dish that you can use to make your room smell differently after you have vaporized…..in order not to bother those people that live with you but don’t want to be bothered by the odor. So that is the reason, why the V Tower scored higher….the aroma dish is included in the package. While the aroma dish that the buddha has is an extra accessory that is very steeply priced but less functional. But I welcome to hear some other opinions on this issue……so if you are reading this and think differently, please share your thoughts :)

    • LOL….if you follow any of the links on the page it will take you to the product page. We just generally don’t publish prices since they might drop over time, then we will have to keep track of all the prices and update them.
