You Should Buy the MIQRO Dosing Capsules If…
You should buy the MIQRO Dosing Capsules if you want the ability to preload a few doses at home and swap them in on the go without carrying loose herb. They are also useful for people who want to reduce maintenance on the chamber, since the gunk stays in the capsule rather than sticking to the chamber itself.
How to Load and Use the Capsules
Loading a capsule is the same motion as packing the chamber directly. The setup is simple and can be done in a few steps.
Here is the step by step guide:
- Step 1: Grind your herb and pack it into an open capsule, or use DaVinci's MIQRO Dosage Grinder to fill all six at once as you grind. (sold separately).
- Step 2: Close the capsule, make sure it's secure and fully sealed.
- Step 3: When ready, drop a capsule into your chamber, and place the mouthpiece back on the unit.
- Step 4: Run your session as usual, then use your pick tool to lift the capsule out once you're done, since it will be hot.
Why These Hold Less Than the IQ Series Capsules
DaVinci markets the MIQRO as its microdosing and quick-session device, and this capsule's capacity follows that same idea. It holds roughly half as much as the IQ series capsule, matching the MIQRO's smaller oven. The dosing capsules don't necessarily change the load amount, they just make the loading process more convenient and allow the user to pre-pack for on-the-go use.
Using Them for Concentrates
By itself, the answer is No. But Davinci did make an extract refill kit (sold separately) that technically allows the capsules to work with concentrates. As with any dosing capsule used for concentrate, keep the amount modest, since a capsule that heats up with a heavy dab inside can liquefy and seep out rather than staying contained, as a dedicated concentrate chamber would.
