Mighty+ (Plus) vs Zeus Arc GTS Hub Comparison

Updated: October 6, 2023

It’s a showdown between the behemoths of new! The end of 2021 brought out a myriad of excellent vaporizers and features well-suited for uncompromising enthusiasts, most notable of which being the just recently updated Mighty+ vaporizer with it’s convenient USB-C port and the power, performance and simplicity of the Zeus Arc GTS Hub. While both flagship vaporizers are the cream of the crop as far as portable vapes go, only one can come out on top. Read on down below to find out which one takes the crown!

Mighty+ (Plus) vs Zeus Arc GTS Hub

MIGHTY+ vapor qualityVapor Quality

Both the Mighty+ and the Zeus Arc GTS Hub bring their A-game when considering flavor and vapor production. Airflow is a bit more free flowing with the Mighty+ while the GTS feels a bit more restricted with each pull. Flavor hits are a lot denser however with the Zeus Arc GTS and in our opinion feels more satisfying to inhale from. It can be somewhat preference based though as it is a bit easier to get massive rips from the Mighty+ in comparison. One feature we can find on the Zeus Arc GTS is that it is compatible with the Utillian bubbler for water filtration when paired with the included Zeus waterpipe adapter.

One thing that gave us a bit of trouble with the Mighty+ especially when compared to the Zeus Arc GTS Hub was the consistency between sessions. The performance of Storz & Bickel’s flagship has a greater variance depending on the quality and consistency of the grind and how properly it’s packed into the bowl. So there is some learning curve involved when it comes to getting the most out of the Mighty+.

The Zeus Arc GTS Hub on the other hand makes it effortless from the get-go as the Zeus Xtruder works seamlessly with the included Zeus ArcPods to provide consistently packed pods between sessions. It’s also possible to load ground up dry herb directly into the Arc’s heating chamber with similar results to the Mighty+ but like with most standard dry herb vapes, the process does require a bit more preparation.

One key point where the Mighty+ and the Zeus Arc GTS Hub deviate is their choice of materials. The Mighty+ features a primarily plastic shell which really helps in insulating heat from radiating outwards to the palms of the user. Despite it’s bulk, the Mighty+ is surprisingly not that heavy as well weighing in at only 235 grams.

The Zeus Arc GTS Hub stands in stark contrast to the Mighty+ with its zinc alloy housing hard anodized to a stealthy black satin finish that feels pleasant to the touch. The device itself is only ? the overall size of the Mighty+. Despite it’s alloy frame, it weighs in at a light 120grams, roughly the same weight as your average smartphone or maybe even lighter.

While both devices are resistant to dings and scratches, the Zeus Arc GTS manages to pull off its robust construction with a bit more of flair while the Mighty+ evokes a more utilitarian feel. It’s more of a toss up at this point depending on user preference so we’re going to have to call this a tie.

Battery Life

The Mighty+ holds the advantage over the Zeus Arc GTS which is in no small part thanks to its support for USB-C charging, something that latter has unfortunately missed the boat on. When it comes to longevity, they offer similar life spans within a single day’s worth of regular use which is surprising considering the much smaller form factor on the Zeus Arc GTS.

Both devices manage to put out around 60-90 minutes of session time depending on your chosen temperature settings so it just mostly comes down to  whether having USB-C is a deal breaker or not.

Portability

The sheer size difference between the Mighty+ and the Zeus Arc GTS is staggering. Anyone looking to use the Mighty+ with the intention of storing it in their pants pocket will have to reconsider as it’s probably one of the largest portable vaporizers on the market. Anyone looking to use one of these on the go will most likely have to resort to carrying around a tool bag or purse to store it in. The Mighty+ doesn’t rate very high on concealability as well as it’s nigh impossible to palm save for those with gargantuan hands.

The inclusion of the Zeus Hub with the  Zeus Arc GTS makes the entire package a lot easier to carry around which is important especially considering how crucial the Zeus Xtruder and ArcPods are to getting the most out of the device. This isn’t completely necessary however as it’s quite simple to pre-fill multiple  ArcPods ahead of time for those looking to get multiple sessions out of the  Zeus Arc while out of the house.

Ease of Use

While the Mighty+ was always relatively easy to use compared to lower-tier dry herb vaporizers in the market, it was always when it came down to cleaning the thing that rustled our jimmies. Perfecting the process of getting the perfect grind and packing method for the Mighty+ is something that easily comes with time but cleaning it’s gunk-prone chamber was always an arduous process especially with the small gaps around the perimeter of the bowl.

While vaping dry herb straight on the bowl of the Zeus Arc GTS produces the same problem, it’s a problem that’s easily bypassed with the use of the ArcPods. Storz & Bickel does offer dosing capsules for use with the Mighty+ which helps mitigate the hassle of cleaning it up, but the capsules lack the overall convenience derived from the Xtruder and ArcPod combo..

MIGHTY+ Battery lifeTemperature Flexibility

The Mighty+ with its precise onboard temperature control is a bit easier to work with for those that demand specific temperatures for their dry herb compared to the Zeus Arc GTS that uses baked in presets.

Both vaporizers however offer pretty much the same range of temperature ranges for vaporizing dry herb so for those that prefer to fire up their device without much fiddling with the temps, the presets on the Zeus Arc do just fine.

Final Thoughts

We love the Mighty plus vaporizer over here at TVape. Storz & Bickel’s long history of engineering vaporizers definitely shows in this recent release and with its inclusion of a modern USB Type C charging port, makes it one of the most solid contenders in the recent year. If you’re looking for a workhorse of a vape that simply won’t quit, the Mighty+ just might be the answer.

While the Zeus Arc GTS Hub does get held back by its Micro USB charging port, it’s hard to dismiss the entire kit for the tremendous value and convenience it brings to the table. Not only does it offer comparable performance to the Mighty+, it does so with a smaller form factor and a lower price. The quality of life improvements it introduces with the inclusion of the Zeus Hub, Zeus Xtruder, and ArcPods also make setting up the Zeus Arc GTS Hub one of the easiest dry herb vaporizers we’ve had the pleasure of using, which is why the Arc still gets the win for today.
