What the Tongs Do on a Charcoal-Free Hookah
On a charcoal hookah, tongs move coals. On the XKAH Pro and the XKAH Lite, heat comes from an electric heater, so the main hot object you handle is the bowl. These tongs have a wide, flat grip that holds the bowl steadily. XKAH rates them as high-temperature resistant, built not to warp or weaken from repeated contact with a bowl straight off the heater.
Tongs or Fork Poker
Both tools come in the XKAH box, and both are sold separately. The fork poker handles the herbal molasses: spreading it evenly into the bowl, clearing out the spent load and taking out the lower grille for cleaning. The tongs handle the bowl itself, moving it in and out of the device when it's too hot to touch. If getting a hot bowl out is the problem, replace these.
