You love your trustworthy Volcano; you’ve used it a hundred times before. It sits on your desk faithfully and fills up a balloon with delicious vapor for you at the push of a button. But have you ever looked at one of the bags as they filled and thought, “Could I put my crab meat in there?” If you have, you may be one of the few people working in the exciting world of modern cuisine!

Volcano Flavour Infusion Ideas and Recipes

Volcano Vaporizer Flavour Infusion
Volcano Vaporizer BalloonA little known fact is that everyone’s favourite Volcano is often used as a flavour infuser in high-end restaurants. The process of flavouring food with pure aromatic vapour is called aromatization, and it’s becoming a popular method of infusing food with interesting new flavours. Rather than applying spices to the food directly, the flavouring is vaporized, and the vapor is absorbed right into the food. In one application, meat is placed into a Volcano balloon and the heating chamber is filled with flavourful spices. The chef turns on the Volcano and allows the bag to fill with vapor. The meat is infused evenly with the aroma of the spices (without leaving any flakes that would be burned during cooking) – leaving a seasoned cut perfect for the refined palate of a high end chef.
You’re probably logging on to TorontoVaporizer now to grab some extra balloons for your Volcano, but the applications of the Volcano as a flavour infuser don’t stop with the main course! After you enjoyed a Volcano infused roast beef, you are relaxing with friends and enjoying each other’s company. You pull out a bottle of Vodka, but a glare from your friend reminds you that you were supposed to buy the fancy Lemon Vodka. The liquor store is closed now and there’s no lemon juice to mix it with. Your picky friend looks at you, disappointed. The delicious roast should have been enough to impress them, but they really wanted to enjoy a drink after. No worries! With your Volcano, you’re still the host with the most.

Just run to your spice drawer and pull out a bag of Lemongrass and a tube for your Volcano. You can aromatize your drinks too! Just attach one end of a plastic tube to your Volcano and submerge the other end into a glass of Vodka, about three ounces full. After filling your heating chamber with Lemongrass, turn the temperature of the Volcano up to 280° F (138° C). When it climbs up to this temperature, turn on the fan.

Your glass of Vodka will start bubbling as the vapor passes through it. Your picky friend will be amazed as their glass of Vodka transforms before their eyes into a flavoured cocktail worthy of a place at any high end bar (without the high end price tag). After about a minute of bubbling, you can remove your tube and serve your friend their drink. Delicious!
We did some searching to find some recipes you could use to try mixing drinks with friends after you’ve vaporized with your Volcano. You can always mix and match your own botanicals to create your own cocktail, unique to your kitchen!

  1. That white Russian does sound amazing. I’d say the coolest thing with botanicals for me is just adding flavors. A little mint or green tea really adds depth to the flavor. Pick me! Box looks great

  2. CHRIS FERGUSON , The drinks are a must try but since we got our vape we have been trying all kinds of botanicals which grow on our property from raspberry leaves to mint and spearmint, keep up the great info.

  3. I put a drop of vanilla, or cherry or apple flavor in my vape bubbler – just a hint really makes for a nice draw. I’ve also put really cold apple and other fruit juices in it, and that makes for a smooth, tasty vape.

  4. Wow I had no idea that a vaporizer could be so versatile! So interesting to know that I can do so many other things with my vape especially with alcohol. I just ordered the arizer solo and it should be coming in the mail tomorrow! I like to kick it old school with my arizer extreme q and use it to medicate myself with natural herbal medication. Now that I know I can do so many other crazy things with it I’m going to have to try it out. Thank you toronto vape for always educating me on the vape life!

  5. use anything natural to enhance flavor as what will mix best, zest of lemon, zest of lime, not toxic chemical crap as rootbeer flavor, respect is a natural plant and vape this way.

  6. Steve Brown: Well im not going to lie. I did not know any of this is even possible so ive never tried it. I would try minting something up though…the possibilities are endless. I cannot wait to try. Thanks Toronto Vaporizer. you guys rock!

  7. I just love anything I can do with my vape. Best thing I’ve discovered about some botanicals is just simply some of the aromas they give off . PS the box does look wicked

  8. Juice up blackberries, mix with bourbon and crushed ice, infuse with mint and a pinch of thyme (if you want to go outside the box). Mint leaves for a garnish. Might need a bit of soda water to even out consistency.

  9. I grow wild mint in my back yard, I mean a lot! So I like to dry it out and add a little bit to the herbs I vape, it makes it very cool and refreshing, and with the left overs I like to aromatize hot chocolate for those cold winter days. :) pick me!

  10. My name is Nina Mendosa. This is such a cool idea. I read your blogs a lot and you always come up with interesting topics and super informative. Very funny read this one. I think a cool thing to do with a vape it add organic peppermint because it keeps your breath smelling cool and fresh after vaping! Please let me win that box!
